"Excellent stay and great price"
We stayed in this hotel for over a week and enjoyed our time here. The hotel was wonderful...the staff helpful and friendly, the service good, and the rooms were clean. These rooms are a bit small as expected in many hotel in Europe but they were clean and well equipped. We got a few bottles of water with our stay. The location is decent- a few block from the Barcelona metro. I would stay here again as the value and location and service was fantastic!!!
"Good overall experience and value for money."
Good four star hotel in great neighbourhood (not too far walking from the beach, nice restaurants nearby, and only 10 minutes by public transport to P. Catalunia). Caters for both tourists and business travellers. Very good breakfast. Clean rooms. Very efficient and friendly staff. Decent spa. Only weak points: fitness room was somewhat minimal and wifi in room was frustratingly slow (and not working half of the time).
We visited Barcelona on 4th and 5th primarily to see a band play at the local venue Razzmatazz. We stayed at the Salles Hotel Pere IV and had a really pleasant stay. The hotel was clean, breakfast was good and the room large with a comfy bed. The staff were pleasant and helpful, especially Alessandra on the reception who really went out of her way to help us. I will definitely stay there again on our next visit.
"Amazing Customer Service"
This hotel has amazing staff. The receptionists especially go out of their way to make your stay comfortable; on the day of our departure my boyfriend was late from work leaving me to carry the suitcases to the nearest taxi stop (just down the street). The receptionist happily carried half my stuff to the taxi and I didn't even ask her to do this! Weeks before we arrived, I had e-mailed and requested a room on as low a floor as possible as I don't take a lift and this was swiftly responded to and the request met. This is quite the opposite of previous experiences I've had in Barcelona and Spain on the whole. The hotel is kept clean though the bathroom had a damp smell and had mold spots in the edges of the bath but it is my understanding they are undergoing a complete renovation soon. Rooms are quite large as are bathrooms if a little oddly shaped. Very comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet has plenty of choice and you are guided to your seats so you don't have to look for a clean table when you're still half asleep. Wifi works really well throughout the entire hotel including rooms. I have almost only positive things to say about my stay here. Being completely honest, I do have to remark on housekeeping who did not restock the minibar, did not always meet my request of a change of bedclothes and left the soap dispenser in the bath empty. Saying that, reception solved everything in a matter of moments. Perhaps the obvious disadvantage of this hotel is its location. It's too far to walk to the city centre and there are no attractions in the area. But various busses stop virtually in front of the hotel and if you buy a T10 ticket it costs only 1 euro to get around. Within walking distance you'll find Port Olimpic (great paella at Xiringuito Escriba!), Rambla del Poblenou, Els Encants flea market market and Torre Agbar. If this hotel were anywhere closer to the city, I would definitely stay here again!
"Short stay before cruise out of Barcelona"
Stayed 2 nights as part of cruise package deal.Nice hotel in shabby area sadly but modern décor, comfortable room with lovely bathroom Inc. bathtub which we like all linen and towels of high quality.Did not eat breakfast because at 15 Euros we thought it too expensive and found nearby café's doing light breakfast for little money.Staff especially on reception were kind, helpful and spoke excellent English.Would not hesitate to stay here again.
