All in this resort was amazing. All places are very clean and beautiful. The staff members nice and helpful. Very good quality in restaurants. It is a 5 star resort and the prices are high. Outsite are restaurants, bars, masseurs. These are cheaper. The resort we can recommend.
This was the third location in our 3 place stay and we were a little apprehensive before hand that it would be too commercialised but it wasn't and we loved it. Our pool villa was fabulous. The arrival was a little disjointed and the wooden truck takes several people and you have to wait whilst each is shown in to their room. The hill is VERY steep and not really suitable for walking up or down. The cars pick you up outside your door and take you to the reception or back to your room etc. The room was fantastic and we couldn't fault it. Loads of space. Fabulous pool. Totally lovely. There is a choice of places to eat. The breakfast is plentiful and lots of choice. We ate a-la-carte each night and the quality was very good, if a little expensive. The buffet is good value for the evenings but we didn't try it. The beach is clean. You can walk along to other bars and hotels. Don't go too far though as you reach a rubbish dump just after the last hotel and this smells quite bad. We hired a bike and toured the island. It really didn't take long at all as this is very under developed and there are only a handful of hotels on the island. The day trip to Phi Phi was worth doing as now we know that we would never want to stay there! We had a bit of an issue trying to arrange diving and never actually managed to dive during the 8 night stay, so if you are planning on diving this is not the place to stay. Overall this is a lovely hotel. All staff were very friendly and helpful. It is good value for money. The rooms are fantastic if you get a pool villa. You can explore the rest of the island easily. A very relaxing, peaceful stay. Thank you.
Amazing resort! Every staff member is very nice and helpful. The views are incredible. The restaurants and pools are beautiful and the rooms are great. We got one of the cheaper rooms and it felt like we were living in luxury! Would recommend santhiya resort to anybody looking to relax!
"Can't wait to go back"
Truly the most beautiful place I've ever stayed. We had 3 nights in a garden view room - which still has a fantastic view of the ocean plus the lovely trees surrounding. The wooden carts you have to use to get around reminded me of waiting tediously for a bus in London (quite the reason I need a holiday in the 1st place!!)- a little frustrating at times... as are the staff. Everyone wants to help with literally EVERYTHING, but no one understands you. I don't like that the receipts they give you that suggest you should give an additional tip... you've already taken a 10% service charge' Seems cheeky. Breakfast buffet was wonderful! As is the view you have when eating it. Transfer was unfortunate- suggests it's a 'private transfer', which definitely is not. considering we paid close to £120 for 2 of us return to Phuket airport, was utterly disappointed to learn the 'shuttle bus' had left already to get the speedboat and we had to pay for an additional taxi (650BHT) to the pier if we wanted to make the next boat.... we just got in from 15hr flight from London, if we didn't make the next boat and wait for the next shuttle, it would have added another 3 hrs transit to our journey. SO: Book your own taxi from Airport to the Pier and then connect to their speedboat. Despite a few small frustrations, the hotel itself is absolutely stunning. I wouldn't hesitate to return.
"30th Birthday treat"
We stayed for 3 days in February and as soon as we saw it from the speedboat we knew it wouldn't be long enough. This resort is stunning. The attention to detail in the decor is unbelievable and the staff could not do more for you. We ate at the main buffet restaurant twice and the resort had made a big fuss for Valentine's day. We ate at Khantok for my birthday and it was a unique experience. We were worried about how much we would spend but felt it was all reasonable overall and easy to see prices and make choices. We borrowed bikes for free for 3 hours and cycled to a pier which is well worth the effort to see the beautiful island and smiley islanders. Both pools are gorgeous and we had a drink at the end of the pier at sunset and a fantastic massage. Breakfast was fabulous and the view is incredible. Other free facilities we didn't get to use are paddleboards and kayaks. They also gave me a complimentary birthday cake. I could talk about how wonderful it was forever. You must stay here!
