"Percect location for city walks"
Comfortable beds in a lovely room with a view. Bathrooms have uneven pebbly flooring which may not be to everyones liking, but i did like that! Lack of produce disappointing. Only soap and shampoo on tap. The staff was very helpful with booking restaurants and taxis.....good breakfast apart from the lack of black tea which may inconvenience the brits. Very crowded at peak times. All in all a very pleasant stay in Copenhagen!
"Good location, ok hotel, nothing more, nothing less"
The location of the hotel is really spot on and perfect. It´s in the middle of the city centre, but at the same time a little isolated from the tourist spots. Reception is varied in terms of service, but they provide you with what you need, some are more helpful than others. The hotel room was decent, spacious and with good beds, but the bathroom was dirty, old and seemed worn down. Only one elevator was working during our stay and this was extremely slow. In the hallway there was a strange sewage smell, which was not pleasant, but this was only noticeable in the hallway near the elevator. Ok breakfast with the usual hot and cold continental breakfast dishes. Recommend the hotel in terms of location.
"Super location. Super staff."
This is a modern, smallish hotel staffed by really friendly, efficient young people who have the energy to be cheerfully on call 24/7! Our check in was easy and quick and they made sure our request for a waterfront view had been honoured. We messed up timings the first morning and arrived late for breakfast. Although the waitress was busy clearing up she actually sympathised with our mistake and told us to sit down and she'd get us a coffee anyway. She did this and heated up some pastries. What a lovely gesture - especially when we found out how much coffee and pastries cost in cafes in Copenhagen!! Other staff offered us free coffee when we got in from a freezing boat trip and all the staff were helpful and full of ideas and useful information. The room was simply but very comfortably furnished and there were wine glasses as well as water glasses - first time we haven't had to drink a bought bottle of wine out of toothbrush mugs!! (Again - wait til you see the cost of a bottle of wine in a Danish restaurant and you'll see why we had a couple of glasses before we went out!!) The shower room was a wet-room with a lush underheated floor and there was plenty of shampoo and shower gel, but no conditioner so take note other people who always condition! The view from 502 was amazing - over the water to the opera house, and its quiet so even though we slept with the window open (it was a hot room) we weren't disturbed at all. The hotel is just a street away from Nyhaven in the embassy area with the queens palace just behind, so it's accessible but feels safe and is quiet. The breakfast was great - even the coffee - with lovely fresh bread and fruit as well as hot bacon and eggs. All in all a really good choice.
"Not bad, not good"
I upgraded to a larger room. Yet the amenities weren't there. No bathrobe, minimal towels, no toiletries. Okay but mediocre breakfast. Ugly lobby. This hotel seems popular with low level business types.
"Perfect base for touring Copenhagen"
We stayed 5 nights in a standard queen room. The hotel offers a great location in Nyhavn, within walking distance of many museums and sites. The neighborhood is quite nice; plenty of restaurants are nearby on the canal but kind of expensive. (Walk over the bridge to Copenhagen Street Food to find cheaper eats.) The hotel itself was just right--friendly front-desk staff, clean, comfortable, and with a wonderful, filling breakfast with many hot and cold items. We appreciated that the hotel made up our room so we could check in after an early-morning arrival.
