"A 5-star joke"
This hotel and most hotels in Brazil really need to get with the program and realize it is 2017 and not 1997. The location is fine but do not expect a luxury 5-star hotel, it is 3-star at best. Upon arrival no one at the front desk spoke English, we were basically check-in over the phone. I expect a 5-star hotel to have English speaking staff, especially at the reception available. The room was far below what one may expect from a 5 star hotel. We booked a junior suite at a very high price and it was so disappointing. The 'terrace' was a depressing small balcony where you could only stand. Here we were imagining ourselves sitting on a terrace of a junior suite with a glass of wine, well none of that! The 2 slow lifts were irritating with an operation system from a long long time ago. Expect queues at the lift and be inside the lift going up and down before you reach your floor. One evening we invited a friend to come visit us at the hotel room and were basically denied this by the reception who again called someone who could speak English and told us this was not allowed. I pay a premium price for a room and are not allowed to invite a guest' Ridiculous. The bathroom was the worst part of this so called 5-star hotel. Small, again depressing, small shower, no bath and things falling apart. What luxury hotel charges for shaving kits and toothbrush etc' I just laughed when I saw the note. Upon check-out they tried to charge me in Euro's. When I said I wanted to pay in Reals I got a big frown and turns out they still charged me in Euro's! That is so low for a business to do to make a few extra cents. Will not come back.
"The worst place to stay on earth !"
Used to travel at least 2 weeks per month I have stayed in many places but must admit that this hotel should get the award of the worst place to stay. I am surprised about number of stars shown at the entrance since hardly one can be attributed. Poor service at any level, for such a luxury property hardly few employees are speaking basic English ! Bathroom are not maintained and full of mild no glasses for toothbrush just one towel. Air condition is not working well and the room is very very basic ! Asked for a single room and get one double bed plus one single .. I guess if I was planning to have some friends ! No way to order room service they simply don't understand English ! Check out took 35 minutes to be done and when you ask to change the address on the invoice for accounting purpose they said no sorry we can't ! Luckily I stayed only 2 nights with busy days so I don't had to stay that much in the room ! Will certainly not come back and not recommend this place !
"Great hotel and local craft market"
The standard room is clean, modern, spacious and confortable. The staff is helpful, polite and discret. The restaurant offer good quality food and excellent prices. A good size pool at the top of the 20 floor building with a awesome view, as well as a large jacuzzi and bar. The gym is appopriate and the lobby bar offer confortable armchairs and good varyety of drinks. I recommend.
"Nice Hotel in a Nice Location"
The Seara Praia is among the better hotels on Fortaleza's lovely Iracema Beach. It sits right on the beachfront, which is a great busy stretch with lots of joggers and volleyball games and simple bars and restaurants. It's a fun place to be. The hotel is a nice property with well-trained staff and nice rooms. Check-in is quick and smooth. The wifi is strong throughout the property and you only have to log in one time -- it doesn't keep kicking you out. The rooms are pleasant and modern, and service is quite good. There are only two guest elevators, but they seem to have been recently modernized, so they are quick. The breakfast is nice with a good selection of Brazilian items (no European or American specialties) -- although we found the food stations and flow of people to be badly organized: plates here, food there, coffee over there. The place would benefit from the wisdom of a smart restaurant manager to organize the breakfast most smoothly. People bumping into each other and badly-utilized space. Aside from the breakfast problems, this is overal, a nice hotel, I would stay there again.
"Great hotel with an awesome view!!!"
We've stayed at Seara Praia Hotel 2 times in 2015 and it was wonderful. The hotel is beautiful, both times we had a great view to the ocean, room was very clean and well maintained. (Showers need to be remodeled but still in good condition). Breakfast very complete with a great and fresh "Tapioca". My friend and I spent most of the time at the pool area and you have to try their " Caipirinhas", EDILTON the bartender was always there and always very polite and with a big smile on his face. I just can't wait to get back there next Friday and for sure enjoy another wonderful time!!!
