"Great location if arriving by train, but the price is a bit hihg"
The hotel is across the street from the main train station. The check in was friendly and easy. When we arrived at our room I discovered it didn't have the amenities I had paid for. I checked the information pamphlet in the room to make sure that I was correct. I was. I went downstairs to correct the problem, but was told I was incorrect. After a short discussion the problem was solved. The hotel should treat their customers better.
"Great location,ambiance and staff"
Centrally located art nouveau hotel carefully renovated and opposite the station. Rooms were comfortable and well soundproofed both internally and externally. Large wall mounted HD tv but few channels other than German (only BBC world service news and two US channels with nothing but business). NO tea/coffee making facilities.Mini bar provided. No toiletries other than soap from dispensers. Beds were too soft for my liking as I prefer extremely firm spring mattresses. Excellent restuarant for breakfast and dinner if somewhat overcrowded at peak breakfast times. Pleasant helpful staff.Wifi is free except for very heavy use when a surcharge will apply.
"Superb! What's not to like'"
We had researched the Seaside Park on Tripadvisor, and found that some of the comments about the shower areas and the staff were a little negative. Were these travellers staying in the same hotel as the one we have just stayed in'' It was almost faultless in every respect: quiet, clean, and comfortable, with great food and really helpful and friendly staff. Yes, it is in the area of the Hautbahnhof, but this did not in any way detract from the ambience: it added to it, as the station was an attractive and useful landmark, with a wonderful shopping area on two floors. We were in Leipzig for a feast of classical music and travelled as a group, and the general feeling was that it's a very good and central place to stay, but being English we would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. Otherwise full marks to Seaside Park!
"A wonderful visit"
All in all, our stay in Leipzig was really lovely. The hotel is ideally located, with friendly and helpful staff and an outstanding breakfast buffet, which is worth the extra charge. Most sights were within walking distance, so that one could easily return to the hotel for a little rest or a drink. Situated only 2 min from the train station made further excursions really easy. A very enjoyable stay!
"Top location, great service, small but sylish rooms, charming hotel ambiance"
My husband and I stayed in this hotel for the second time, the first time in 2010 and again in 2016. The rooms are on the small side but very comfortable and furnished to a high standard. Reception staff are super helpful and responsive, they searched in a big box of adapters to find the right one for my husband's shaver. I was also able to print our a boarding card etc., all of our special requests got fulfilled. We got a good deal for pre-booking three nights but when we extended another night we had to pay the full price although the hotel was definitely not full. Coffee shop and bar are on the reception level, the restaurant is in the basement. The restaurant design is like a train and you eat in a cubicle like a train carriage. It took a long time for dinner to be served and for the bill but food and drink were excellent and the waiter very charming and knowledgeable. The hotel location is fantastic, right in the city centre, a few steps from the main railway station, trams and within a few steps of a huge selection of shops, restaurants, the market, churches, the opera, parks and several department stores. Despite of this busy location, our room was quiet. The hotel has a charming ambiance in art deco style.
