"A poor example"
Booked by travel agent for one night before a cruise in the pacific. When we went to the room, we were gob smacked at the dated decor, piece meal room layout and the thick dust on the mantle, cupboard doors. It was dark and felt unhygienic. We complained to the desk manager who offered us another room. We went to another room with them and were faced with the same scenario. Manager advised these rooms were not yet redecorated as other rooms had. We decided to walk across the road to the park royal and stayed there for only A$25 more. This was in January 2015 so hopefully all rooms have been upgraded since then.
"out visit to Seasons Harbour Plaza"
Building site next door created major noise even right through the weekend. Main problem was the fridge, it had not been defrosted for a very long time and the door would not shut properly due to the ice build up. When we spoke to reception about the problem they said they would send someone up to thaw the fridge out. We went out for a few hours and when we returned found that someone had attended to the fridge, their solution was to turn the fridge off and shut the door!! Because of this there was now water everywhere in the fridge and unfortunately we had put some food in the fridge which now was turned off and half the food was sitting in the water. When we complained about this someone came up and mopped up the water and turned the fridge on again but over half the ice was still there. We had to throw most of the food out as we had chicken, both bbq and raw inside. The freezer was not usable and only half the fridge was able to be used due to a missing shelf from the door and also another one missing from within the fridge. There was mould around the bottom of the fridge door. Also the main knob on the dishwasher was missing. Also room was advertised as a two bedroom executive apartment, it was not this. It was actually two one bedroom apartments side by side, and the cost was exorbitant. I could go on about other issues but suffice to say they we were not impressed with this place and would never stay there again and would not recommend to anyone.!
i arrived at the hotel around 10 at night and was well greeted by a very welcoming staff member. the check in was smooth and with out delay. the car parking was a little over the top. I was upgraded to an apartment which was great. The bathroom could have been cleaner, i found hair in the basin and on the floor' not taking away from the room as the rest was very comfortable.
Overal I was happy with the hotel. It said it was a 4 Star but was cheap so I wasn't expecting much. I was spending 4 nights there with my son who works in Australia but at check in we were given a room with a double bed in stead of a twin. However this was quickly corrected by upgrading us to better room with a kings size which could be split in to two singles. The room was very spacious with a small balcony. However with building work going on across the road at the time it was quite noisy. I found the bathroom a little grubby but clean enough but the corner shower cubicle was very small for a large chap such as my self.
"Very nice hotel clean and tidy"
Hotel was nice and clean, walking distance to darling harbour easy and five minutes, staff very friendly and helpful, we arrived early and it was nice that they looked after our luggage then we were upgraded to a bigger room as there was something wrong with the one we were meant to get so it was really nice.
