"Good place to stay near science park"
Stayed here for business - the hotel is new and comfortable - rooms are bigger then downtown HK and breakfast is reasonable. The bar and chinese restaurant is also good value. Shuttle bus is available in the morning to science park and takes 30min by taxi to airport.
"Very nice Hotel"
Our family of 10 stayed in this hotel from March 22-25. My reviews/observations/notes: 1. The hotel is too far away from the city center but offers spectacular views and more quiet surroundings which is good for a real vacation. 2. Even though remote, the location of the hotel is very accessible to the MTR, the bus station and taxis, although We preferred taxi ride as we were not familiar with the train. The hotel also offers free shuttle ride from the hotel to tsim sha tsui and to other areas in HK. 3. The amenities are ok. Their pool is almost perfect but I would have preferred to have a real clear view of my kids playing at the playground while I dip for a swim. The playground is being obstructed by plants. 4. Our booking was for 2mountain view suites (with 2 rooms each) and placed at 2:00 pm, but was given the 3 rooms only at 5pm. I am not sure if it was actually the time because we went out the hotel while waiting as we got bored. Further, one room was separated and was located several rooms across the corridor, not ideal for a family with small kids and young nephews. We had to go further steps just to get to my nephews' rooms. They ended up staying more at our rooms than theirs. However, the hotel did agree to extend our stay at the 2 rooms for just an hour only. 5. The bathroom/toilet is ok but really would prefer to have a bidet spray on the toilet. 6. The restaurant on the lobby floor is just too expensive. I asked if there are other restos inside the hotel but this restaurant lady staff could not understand my question. 7. Despite being assured months before our stay that there were baby strollers at the hotel for us to borrow, not one was made available for us during our entire stay. I believe they only had 2 pieces of this (not sure), too bad for a hotel like hyatt. Our HK stroll would have been perfect if not only of having to carry our 2 heavy toddlers around. In general Hyatt Regency Shatin is a nice hotel to spend family vacation in. The staff are also polite. I would definitely come back once there is a chance.
Very nice hotel. Large rooms. Nice exercise facilty and pool. Very good breakfast buffet. Direct connection to the underground/subway. Hwlpul staff. Very close to the university and soon the. Ew medical building.
Clean and modern hotel. Good location and environment. Staffs are helpful. The birthday cake which was sent into our room for my daughter from the hotel is really a plus. That changed my whole impression for this hotel. However, more greetings and smile from everyone is needed. Will come back next time.
Had two stays at the hotel in one week. The first room was a standard room, really nice, big bed (bit short if you are 6ft 4 like), comfortable room with a rain shower. Breakfast is expensive, but the amount of food at the buffet is very impressive and caters for all. My french colleague was impressed with the croissants. We left our bags for 3 nights as we were traveling to Taiwan which was not a problem. The last night of a trip we returned late at night and I was given an upgraded room, it was huge with a fantastic view. The location is perfect for visiting the science park and the university.
