"Always a pleasant stay"
Hyatt Regency Sha Tin is always one of my go-to hotels in the Hong Kong area. Firstly, the room rates are always reasonable as compared to other areas. Despite this, the service is always top-notch from the moment you step out of the taxi. As a Diamond, I always get upgraded and the rooms are always clean and well looked after. I also appreciate the seperate male and female sauna and steam rooms (they also have a jacuzzi in the locker rooms, but it is always only luke warm). When arriving from the airport (HKG), I recommend taking an Uber. Cost was about $35 USD. That way you do not have to worry about paying in HK dollars or about navigation. If you take a taxi, use the green colored taxi line (new territory), though make sure you have cash in small bills and that you have the hotel name and address written in Chinese as they will likely know no English. If you want to go into Kowloon, Uber will cost you about $15 USD.
"A room with a view and more"
This is a hotel that is carefully designed and run with clients' interests in mind. My colleagues and I enjoyed our stay here. So did my young children when we came last time. We look forward to returning to the hotel to have another wonderful trip.
"Great family stay"
Took the family room. Has 2bdrms and a living room in between. Great plc to spend family time. Take the sea view. Fantastic and peaceful to wake up to views of the sea. Train station just outside hotel with covered walk way. 5 Stops to mongkok east st 20 mins ride. Walk down to all the street shops great food great shopping. Alternatively, take free hotel shuttle to tsim sha Hyatt and there you can go anywhere too. This will likely be our HK hotel for foreseeable future.
"Beautiful Hotel in Sha Tin"
This is a beautiful hotel on a hill in Sha Tin. The hotel is 45 minutes away by shuttle bus, 25 by metro from the Tsim Sha Tsui. It is 1 hour away by taxi from the airport and you'll pay a fixed rate, plus tax, plus luggage handling. There was a person at the airport checking tourists looking for taxis and giving them a heads up about the fixed rate so that there was no scam by the taxi drivers. The metro stop is 200 feet away from the exit at the basement floor of the hotel. The most convenient way for us was the taxi as any other option was either more expensive or would have taken much more time. Room was beautiful with a nice view on the water and had a big bathroom with separate bathtub and shower box. There was a good Wi-Fi signal throughout the hotel and a complimentary cell phone in the room with unlimited calls. Room cleaning was good. We did not try the breakfast. We only had a dinner on the first night at the restaurant at the 1st floor. which was just ok, but service was not that friendly. If you need cash, there is 1 ATM inside the metro station just after the gate. The station attendant will let you in, if you ask for the ATM. And another one on the opposite side of the metro after going under the underpass and then turning right. This second one is not easy to find. I confess that I booked this hotel two months in advance by mistake after confusing it with the Hyatt in Tsim Sha Tsui and I only realized my mistake a few days later. I wanted to stay near the Victoria Harbour, but I have never been to Hong Kong before, and I took Sha Tin for Tsim Sha Tsui. I kept the reservation because my rate was not refundable, but, after staying for 5 nights at the beginning of November and liking this hotel much, I would probably stay here again if I was in Hong Kong. The area around the hotel is the University and has a convenience store open until 10 or 11pm and a small take away restaurant, both near the metro station. The whole neighborhood seemed safe and quiet.
"Enjoyed my stay"
I went to HK on a one week business trip and I stayed in the Hyatt Regency, room was top notch, I loved that the room came with a service mobile phone that I was able to use to make unlimited calls, room was also had a table that I was able to use for my laptop. Breakfast was also ok. I really enjoyed my stay there and will definitely book there again on my next business trip.
