"Expected way more"
We arrived for afternoon tea on the 35th floor around 3.20pm and was told afternoon tea stops at 4pm, and it would feel rushed if we decided to have it, the nice guy(Australian) then advised us to go up to the bar on the 53rd floor for drinks, fair enough. When we got up there we were seated by the bar manager, tall blonde lady, very pleasant, and we asked to be sat near the windows to enjoy the view, she said there is a waiting list to sit by the windows and if we were to sit somewhere else for now, she would move us once it was our turn, sounds fair, however she then proceeded to sit other people who had come in after us near the windows. not too happy with the service on the 52rd floor
We stayed here for one night as a special anniversary treat. Being able to see the City sky line as evening fell and in the early morning was great. The binoculars in the room were a good idea. The tea and coffee making facilities were good and the bathroom was of a high standard. The pool was good for a relaxing dip. Did not eat here.
What an absolutely amazing place to stay. I was stunned when I was shown my room - so impressive! Everything is perfect - the rooms, the staff, the food in the restaurant. My only issue was I paid for one of their premium rooms, but when I went to the restaurant I was given one of the poorer seats (not near the window ) even though there were better tables vacant. I was quite disappointed by this, as I'm sure I was paying for one of the most expensive rooms they had. Perhaps they gave me that table as I was eating by myself. People in groups of 2 or 3 were given the best tables.
"Two stays in two years, never let me down"
First time went there for our tenth anniversary two years ago, stayed in one of the suite with romance in the sky package. From the check in to check out, a spotless great experience. Room service was great, the food, the atmosphere set up by the stuff were all great. Went back again last year with the boys, again, a great experience. Kids loved the pool with overview of London. The food in the restaurant was excellent too. highly recommend for those want to try a modern London life.
I have recently stayed at this hotel for a birthday treat from my boyfriend. we stayed in the Iconic City View Room which was beautiful, This room by far has the best view and is very spacious. We were greeted by very welcoming and friendly staff who escorted us to our room and also took our luggage. We were given a short tour of the room and was made to feel very special, My boyfriend organised rose petals and some birthday chocolate covered strawberries! This all has to be paid for as an extra but it was definitely worth it. We visited the Infinity pool and the GONG bar for a drink, this was also lovely and again we were well looked after by the staff. The bar is fairly small as i would recommend going fairly early if your only planning on having a few drinks. We then ordered room service for dinner which was also lovely, the staff were very attentive by laying it out nicely on a table and also coming to collect the food as soon as we were finished. We also ordered room service for breakfast which was also lovely. Overall our stay was brilliant and i would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a special night away.
