"A beautiful property with a great downtown location"
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Shangri-La in Chiang Mai. The pool was very nice as was the kids club area. The spa was nice, but a little overpriced and overrated when there are so many nice, inexpensive options nearby. We used a driver from the hotel for our excursions, and we were also pleased with that service.
"Excellent hotel, Great location"
We stayed hereon our honeymoon and it was a perfect stay. On arrival we had flowers, wine chocolates and more. Throughout our stay we were treated excellently and this was the same for all people staying. Great pool and the spa is amazing. It is located within 5 minutes walking distance to the night bazaar and many other street markets. There are always tuk tuks out front, I would advise using these rather than taxis organised by the hotel as they are expensive. Great stay, I would certainly recommend. This hotel suits everyone from couples to families.
"great hotel, high standards"
Had a great stay in Shangri-la Chiang Mai in early Jan. Hotel had usual high standard of the hotel group, and an absolutely fabulous pool. Just remember pool is a bit cold in the morning, as a neighbouring tall building doesn't let the sun shine on the pool till about noon. It's also pretty well located with the night market a really short stroll away. Plenty of massage places nearby, we got a foot massage nearly every day we were there!
"Shangri-la Hotel Chiangmai"
Great stay and is a great choice. We have booked two rooms. We experience excellent customer services from the all staffs expecially the horizon club staffs. Will definetly be back to the same hotel on our next trip.
"Magical World of Shangrila-la in Chiang Mai"
I love Shangril-la Holidays, these hotels always have lovely gardens and amenities. Chiang Mai was a magical place, not as hectic as Bangkok, but with an ambience of the story of Lost Horizons about it. Temples in the mountain, ancient tribal hill tribes and cities. The hotel sits amongst a garden of trees and plants that are a pleasure to stroll through with the spa situated among the trees and pool areas. This hotel had the nicest group of people who work there I have encountered. Joe, the turn down gentleman who leaves sweet notes beside the bed wishing happy dreams. Thanda who works in the restaurant at breakfast deserves a special thanks for her lovely manners and helpfulness and charm. Also George and everyone else in the Horizon Club, such well mannered charming young people. Thank you Shangrila-la Hotel in Chiang Mai for my truly wonderful holiday this January 2017. 10 out of 10,
