"no value for money"
First of all when I tried booking using my entertainer app, the hotel replied saying no rooms as the hotel is booked for the defense expo Then when I booked from the site without the entertainer app i booked 1 night, it was our anniversary , the front office was very slow doing my check in ,the rooms are average , so is the food in the hotel , the hotel staff dint inform us that the internal Abra boats are not accessible cos of maintenance .
A wonderful hotel with excellent fascilities/Swimming pools, Restaurants etc. The rooms are also excellent. The staff are all superb,friendly and very efficient. Diba and the guest relations team are second to none.
"one night stay"
i stayed her last Saturday 18th feb for one night , the hotel was so full and there was an important congress going on there may be why i was allocated in a normal room which got nothing special comparing it to all other near hotels except the price was way far more . the food in the main restaurant was just average which i never expected would be despite the nice outdoor view the restaurant got . it was a try but wont repeat it
"Excellent Staff but room for improvement"
First time to Abu Dhabi having been to Dubai many times. The standard of the hotel and staff/service was excellent however there are a number of improvements needed - the hotel was on the military base flight path so fighter jets and schnook helicopters flew over regularly. There was only one restaurant (Sofra) for half board dining - the other 5 other restaurants you paid for - whilst the food was good it became boring eating in the same place. Drinks were extremely expensive. Some hotels rules need relaxing - eg our teenage daughters were not able to use the spa indoor pool due to age restrictions.
"Shocking Underhand Tactics re: Deposit"
I had previously left a positive review for this hotel, but my experiences since Ive been home has made me delete and write another. When we checked in, the reception requested a credit card to ensure we pay for everything. They insist on taking £100 per day as a guarantee. We dont use credit cards and offered to give £500 cash to cover but they insisted on a card so I gave them my debit card, which they took £500 there and then. Upon checking out, I settled my bill by paying cash and enquired about obtaining a refund on my debit card - the lovely receptionist insisted that it will be returned and will take approx 2 days. 7 Days and 5 emails later, I had still not received my money back. Eventually, I then received my deposit back, minus £50!! Again, I proceeded to send anouther 5 emails asking where the rest of my deposit is and I have again, been ingored. I have sent 10 emails and have not received a single reply from them. I know the reception is manned 24hrs a day so theres no excuse. I am 3 weeks waiting and still havent received money back or an explanation. Anyone thinking of going here..be careful..
