Just back from a short stay this time. 'Valley-Wing' room facilities top class...matched by professional staff. Raja in the Lounge, Iris at the Front desk, Jue Wee and Kee in Reservations. Just some of the caring staff that went the 'extra mile' ...even though was just a short stay for me. They accommodated to my budgetary needs, they added some 'bonus touches' to my room and they allowed me to enjoyed the Lounge faciities... whenever.. The place gets better each time and the saddest point is always 'departure'. 'The Line' with breakfast buffet...probably the best I have enjoyed in the region. The Chef...from room service...he freshly prepared a curry for me..exactly to my wishes/taste! Worth the 40 minute wait... Also met Hotel Manager, Mr Xavier Pougnard. What a gentleman. I posed some queries to him...and he acknowledged by email within a day! He clearly sets the pace for his Team. Now planning a return stay with family for the Summer... We are looking forward to our small piece of 'luxurious escapism'..in a melting pot of actvities, diverse cultures...and fine international dining ...in a region we adore so much. Singapore has it all for us...their Shangri-La remains a set-piece and marker of success.
This is our final hotel on a seven week trip. We have stayed three nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. We have a large room on the 8th floor of the Garden Wing which is clean and well equipped. All the staff in the hotel are extremely, helpful and friendly. A measure of the helpfulness has been the assistance rendered by the Concierge team in tackling the airline Qantas who have lost my golf clubs. Great customer service from the team. The hotel breakfast is as good as I have ever tasted. Other points of note the general location is good, the gym is well equipped and the pool area and hotel gardens are magnificent. BE AWARE the Tower Wing is undergoing refurbishment and is shut. We knew about this before our stay was booked and to be honest you will not really be impacted by the work.

The Shangri-La is possibly the best hotel I have ever been to. Although it has many rooms, the lobby is very intimate and welcoming. The staff throughout the hotel was always helpful and friendly. The hotel has three different wings. My room was in the Garden Wing, which is lovely because one is surrounded by plants. The room and bathroom were amazing and the bed very comfortable. From my room I had a view over the pool and the garden. It never felt like I was in a buzzing city and offered a relaxing atmosphere when I was not working. Looking forward to my next stay.
A great hotel with the very best service. Everyone went out of their way to make my stay memorable and I couldn't have asked for more. There are 3 styles of accommodation which should suit all tastes, the Tower Wing is under refurbishment and should be wonderful when completed.
This hotel has not only beautyful rooms/ suits but also a fantastic price winning Chinese restaurant. On the lower level of the hotel you will also find an amazing Asian food bazar. Believe me you can eat there for hours, delicious.
