"Great Guest Service, Much Improved Food"
A special shout out to Assistant Desk Manager Dash, who went the extra mile for me at check-in this afternoon to arrange for my laundry and dry cleaning to be done on a Sunday afternoon after my previous hotel failed to have the work done. Also, sitting here in the restaurant as I write this. I have found the food here to be really outstanding the last few visits. Perhaps a new chef, but much improved from what I remembered from earlier stays. Also, the bar area now has a gorgeous 4K movie screen on which it projects jazz videos during the evening. Well done, Sheraton Amsterdam Schiphol!
Following a cruise, we stayed at the hotel on the club floor and found it a delightful experience. Staff were very professional, pleasant and helpful. The room was beautifully appointed and spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. A stay to remember.
Had a business dinner in the restaurant of the Sheraton late August. Good place to do this, easy to meet people that need to fly in. The menu is broad enough to please everyone's preferences. I had the ceasar salad as a starter, freshly made and well prepared. The Shrimp make it just that little bit different than you average ceasar salad. The steak was perfect, just as it should be for my tast. Not the cheapest place to eat @ Schiphol but without a doubt the best restaurant in the Schiphol building.
We stayed for one night at this hotel on August 9th. We were looking forward to a nice meal at the restaurant as a start to our holiday. We were told that the restaurant was closed due to it being the summer season ! The receptionist told us that we could eat at the Voyager restaurant/bar . That was like a morgue , and had a nice view of people passing by on their way to the car park. We were forced to look elsewhere . I think if restaurants are closed seasonally, it should be on the web site. So, five star' I don't think so.
"Another excellent stay"
In spite of losing my reservation and being nearly full, the front desk staff quickly booked me a room on the club floor. As always the staff was friendly, accommodating and efficient. The room faced the airport on the main terminal side as requested. Perhaps the food in the club lounge has slipped a bit, but that is more a matter of taste. The front desk area was closed on the morning of departure requiring an exit through the conference level and a short walk outside to the terminal. this was expected to last only 2 weeks.
