"very nice for an airport hotel"
Overall, I had a very nice stay. Some detailed observations: 1) I have stayed at many properties calling themselves "airport hotels" when in fact they are miles away from the airport and reachable only by an infrequent shuttle. This is the quickest I have ever gone from the airport to an airport hotel. It is perhaps only 200 meters from the airport exit to the check-in desk. No shuttle necessary, and the walk is entirely enclosed. 2) The club lounge is very nice. There was a wide assortment of offerings both for morning breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres. 3) They did a good job soundproofing the building. I did not hear any noise from airplanes or anything else, and I slept very comfortably. 4) The wireless internet speed was very good, unlike many hotels at which I have stayed. 5) The property is very new and well designed. I did not notice any wear and tear anywhere. 6) I rented a bike from the hotel (E7.50) and went to explore the city. Unfortunately, the bikes here are not very good; the seat cannot be adjusted so I was unable to extend my legs very far. It is a LONG way to Amsterdam, maybe at least 15km, and the way is signed very poorly so I went extra distance from having to backtrack. Still, I can say I biked all the way from Schipol to Amsterdam! I'd be pleased to say here again if the situation suggested it.
"One night stay"
Stayed one night and arrived late. Checked in by Naomie, she is very pleasant and explained everything in details. Room was nice and clear. Breakfast in Sheraton Club lounge is fantastic. Highly recommend to book club rooms.
"Nice stay but very expensive"
Spent the night before returning to USA. Very nice rooms and great shower. Check in was fairly smooth, check out was not. Made an appointment for wheelchair service to the airport as they walk you over. They were late and when I inquired as to when they would be there they were very slow to react and acted like it was too much trouble. Food very expensive. A sandwich was16 euros and it was nothing special. We passed on eating breakfast as prices were too high. Cheaper in the airport if you can believe that.
"Handy for travel"
Stayed here on business recently. I haven't been here for a few years, but the hotel has maintained its standards and is in very good condition. Rooms are nice, but it is a typical airport location so there is a little noise and you can't open the windows. Its easy to get to, just a 5 min walk as you get through customs and you don't even have to leave the airport.
"Just a hotel near the airport "
This hotel offers the most basic needs for a traveler. I would recommend if one needs to stay close to the airport for whatever reasons. It is really close to the airport. At most a 5mins walk and you are there. The room is of reasonable size but the shower area is just too small. It's hard for my husband who stands a 1.8M tall to shower inside. There is no coffee machine nor a kettle. We need to go out of the room to access to the coffee machine in the corridor for hot water. No slippers are found in the room upon checking in. I have to call the reception for it. Only one complimentary bottle for a Queen size bed room' The hotel is sure trying to save cost! The room lighting is too dim. It's hard for people who wants to read. Overall impression: not very impressed.
