We were very impressed with the high quality all around for the price.Comment of D. Patricia , United States the 2014-08-21
"Blood stained sheets "
After 3 nights of sleeping on blood stained sheets and two days of calling housing keeping, my last night I had the opportunity to sleep on clean sheets. After the first call, only the blood stained pillow case was changed. After the second call, the sheets were changed. I guess I should have stated "clean sheets" for special requests.
"Room Ok, but excellent service"
I was going to an event held in the Sheraton so opted to stay for the night. The King room I got had a door that could go to the room next door. I was disappointed about that because at about 9am, I heard people arguing quite loudly, though unsure if it was coming from the room next door or from the hallway. But I heard the people coming and going, slamming the door. That was the only negative. The room and bathroom was small but the bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. The guest service was excellent and gave me a late check out option. The hotel is quite dated and would do well with some updates. But again, staff and service was excellent!
"Beautiful, modern hotel in a great location"
We were visiting Boston for the first time on a tour of colleges, and were warmly welcomed by the hotel staff. The Sheraton is centrally located, making it easy to visit several schools in a short time. Our room was spotless, tastefully decorated, and featured a spectacular view of the Charles River and the Cambridge skyline. We had an executive room: king bed and sofa bed; sliding doors separated the bedroom from the sitting area with sofa. Perfect for a family of three. If you can, I'd recommend asking for a room at the end of the hallway. Ours was tucked back in the corner, and it was incredibly quiet. We never heard our neighbors or anyone walking by. We were short on time, and so weren't able to check out everything the hotel has to offer. But we did enjoy the Starbucks in the lobby and the extensive gift shop. The lobby was bustling, but never chaotic. The hotel seems to be popular with people attending academic conferences. The staff were helpful and friendly, and offered us a late check-out time, which we greatly appreciated. Highly recommend.
"Very Comfortable Stay"
I stayed at the Sheraton for three days in April for a convention at the Hynes Convention Center next door. It was very pleasant--the room was bright and large, the bed was comfortable, and the location was great. It was a quick walk to the convention center, and to the indoor mall. Both were adjacent to the hotel, so I didn't have to go outside. No free internet, though I got a convention password to use in the lobby. I did not eat at the hotel, except for the Starbuck's in the lobby, but there are many restaurants and food stands in the mall and surrounding area. I had the chance to explore Boston one day, and the hotel is in a very central location. I was able to walk to the Common and to the Museum of Fine Arts. I made use of the fitness center several times; it had everything I needed, and was not crowded. I didn't use the pool, but lots of people were in it. One small issue with the fitness center: has anyone from the hotel every tried out the stair stepper' The ceiling is low in that corner, and standing on the top step, my head brushed the ceiling. I was able to use it by stepping on the second step, but a taller person would not have even been able to do that. Someone needs to check that. Aside from that small quibble, I was very happy with my stay, and would be quite happy to return.
"The BEST hotel in Boston"
Have visited Boston four times and stayed at the Sheraton on 3 of those visits. I honestly wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. The staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. We've stayed in a Traditional room, a Junior Suite and a One-Bedroom Suite all with spectacular views over the Charles River and Cambridge. The Back Bay location is fabulous and you've easy access to the Prudential Centre stores and the T from the lobby. And the best thing about the Sheraton, you can see Fenway Park and it's within easy walking distance, so go catch a ball-game :-)
