Next to the Shops at the Prudential Center, this upscale hotel is a 6-minute walk from the Hynes Convention Center MBTA station and less than a mile from the Museum of Fine Arts.
We were very impressed with the high quality all around for the price.Comment of D. Patricia , United States the 2014-08-21
"Safety and honesty"
I stayed at the Sheraton Boston Hotel on 39 Dalton for the AAAS conference. FOr the first time in my life ever, I left my small pocket book in the lobby with all my phones, driver's license, and cash in it. I was carrying a conference bag at the same time and did not notice the small pocketbook missing for 2 hours. I nearly had a heart attack. Fortunately, another guest found it and handed it in to the hotel concierge. The three concierge gentlemen Glayson, David, and Matt were so gracious and would not accept my cash reward. They, and the anonymous lady who found it, have my heartfelt gratitude . I still believe in our society full of good and kind people. BTW, this hotel has the best location to the Hynes conference center (connected directly), restaurants, and stores. Also in general, the most efficient staff, sensible procedures, and fast wi-fi! I will be a returning customer whenever I visit Boston. Fantastic conference stay!
"Great location, great views and great people"
Spent upwards of 200 to 300 nights in this hotel over a number of years traveling to Boston for work. It may be the best situated hotel in Boston being attached to a large mall with everything from a basic food court to Tiffany's, numerous dining options (inside the mall) and directly across the street from the best shopping (Newbury) and best restaurants in all of Boston. This hotel is a short walk to Boston Commons and an easy walk to Fenway park (don't let anyone fool you, 10/15 minutes max and a simple straight shot). There is a small bowling alley next door (King's) a good seafood shop (Summer Shack) and a great little bar with very good food (Bukowski). Basics like Walgreens or Enterprise are either connected or across the street. It is also attached to the Prudential building which is always nice for a cocktail and view from the Top of the Hub bar. All your needs are met with this hotel, including a Starbucks in the lobby. Prices are affordable and I would recommend a room with a view of the Charles, a nice perk for a few dollars more.
"Great Location "
Hotel has a great location as it is connected to the Prudential Center which has many shoppes and places to eat. Having this made the trip because we had 2 young kids with us and not having to bundle them up to go outside all the time made it great. The hotel is decent, we upgraded our room which is something I recommend to anyone traveling with kids because it also comes with wifi access. The upgraded room provided enough space for us. The bathroom was uncomfortably small. One of the main reasons I selected this hotel was because of the indoor pool for my almost 3 year old but we found out there is no shallow end. You instantly climb a ladder down into a 3 ft deep section. Also, no hot tub is a negative. We had to catch a plane at 9am and it was very frustrating that the bell hop would not allow me to take a luggage cart to my room by myself, which we had done twice during the week. When I mentioned it to the front desk they just told me that they aren't allowed to question what the bell hops do. I have 2 very young kids and lots of different luggage and I was trying to get it all together but instead was arguing with a bell hop at 6am. Very unpleasant. We just carried it all down ourselves without the Cart and a toddler and infant. We stayed 6 nights. Maid service was good. Front desk was hit or miss. Overall decent. Wouldn't stay again with young kids. Don't take the subway. Just uber.
Good hotel - exactly what you would expect fro Sheraton. Did not spend much time in the hotel as I was there for a conference, but service was good and prompt. No problems - the Sheraton iphone app worked well.
"Lovely hotel in a great location "
Just had a wonderful 4 night stay at The Sheraton in a club room. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was a great size, cleaned well daily. A great club lounge, a good selection of food for breakfast. Always found it was very tidy and handy it was open 24 hours for drinks and snacks. Great views too!! Ate a few times in the Sidebar lounge, not a great choice of food but what they had was cooked well and you get plenty. My children enjoyed using the pool. Great location. Would definitely stay here again Thank you
