Next to the Shops at the Prudential Center, this upscale hotel is a 6-minute walk from the Hynes Convention Center MBTA station and less than a mile from the Museum of Fine Arts.
We were very impressed with the high quality all around for the price.Comment of D. Patricia , United States the 2014-08-21
We were put in a handicapped room...we have no disabilities!! Lukewarm water in shower and poor water pressure. Noisy room from elevator!! Beds were comfortable though..all in all a disappointment....plus who charges for in room wi-fi these days' The Sheraton does..$9.95. They provide free bottled water...one bottle!!
We stayed at the Sheraton for 9 nights as my son auditioned at local conservatories. The staff was very friendly, even housekeeping. My son got the flu and they were very helpful in providing a change in accommodations to help us deal with this. The location was great, as we were there during a blizzard, but could access restaurants and stores without ever setting foot outside. (We also discovered a Walgreen's right across the street from one of the mall entrances, and that was our only time outside for several days.) We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
"Unprofessional management lost my reservation"
I booked a reservation with Sheraton three months in advance of a conference, but never received a confirmation. I called three times to have my reservation sent to me, and was told variously that it would be re-sent, that it was missing and that a manager would call me back, and that I would have to be charged for a more expensive room and refunded at a later date. I was told each time that a manager would call me within 3 business days, but they never did. After two weeks of calling and being ignored, gave up and booked a hotel further away from the conference. I've never dealt with such a lack of professionalism from a major hotel, and will never stay at a Sheraton again.
"Amy and David"
Amy and David at the concierge desk were sooooooo helpful! Thank you so much for this wonderful hotel experience!!!!! We didn't have internet and a previous concierge helped me and then Amy booked an excursion for me..... thank you!
"Just a business hotel..."
To be a business hotel is not a bad thing as such, but there could be more to it. The location is good with direct access to the Prudential Center and the Convention Center but the hotel is a bit outdated... The room doors are ill fitted like in the 60ies and everytime somebody closes a door it is a hell of a bang. A lot of fun during the night and with early morning fly outs. I did miss the usual Sheraton touch which one normally gets in those pricy houses. And BTW I am Starwood Gold and Marriott Gold and have definitely seen how it could be done.
