"Fresh and clean"
I would like to say a big thank you to the entire staff at the Sheraton moe, they seemed calm and professional during our visit. Our guest room was super spotless, the hotel ambience too. Big thank you to the housekeeping guy attending the 14th floor who greeted us all he time ;) One minus was the receptionist checked us in but seemed a bit serious ( i guess because of the huge check in during Eid) Overall experience was owesome and big thumps up to the Coffee man at the lobby.
"Back again and a similar, positive experience compared to last time"
I arrived late morning and the check in clerk was highly efficient AND apologetic that my room was not yet ready. She took my mobile phone number and told me that someone would call me when it was. To be honest I was not that happy given the size of the hotel but I supose that it was 100% occupied... So I left my bags in storage and, although I was dog tired after an early flight from India, I went into the shopping mall adjoining the hotel and waited for the promised call. This did come after a couple of hours so I was eventually able to get to me room and crash out. Apparently my Starwood Preffered Guest status counts for little in such circumstances. My room was on one of the lower floors and was functionally correct. I had a large double bed and all other features were identical to what I had experienced in my earlier visit (free bottled water, flat screen TV, free WiFi, rainforest shower, etc. etc.). Breakfast was on the 4th floor in rooms next to the business meetings rooms which was a bit off putting. And late on a Sunday morning it was a real scramble to find a free table and queue up for some of the food. The buffet itself had a good choice. Coming early later in the week was certainly the better option for a slightly more relaxed atmosphere to start the day. As my stay also involved a weekend I availed myself of the roof top pool(s). In temperatures close to 40 degrees it was difficult to stay out in the sun for too long of course, but the dip into the cooling pools was very welcome. An the views across to the city in the distance were great. In summary my visit could have been enhanced by a couple of points mentioned above. During my stay I got no impression that my Starwood Preferred Guest status had any value at all. Never mind...
"What we expected"
Only spent one night here but met expectations of a 5 star hotel. Rooms were new, clean and comfortable as we had read on Tripadviserreviews. Nice breakfast although we had it on our arrival in the morning. Staff were okay but a few smiles wouldn't go astray. Not very friendly.
