"Great Location on the River"
We have stayed at this hotel several times and have consistently had a good experience. The lobby is large so even if there are lines of people checking in, you don't feel crowded or overwhelmed. Our rooms usually face the river and are spacious and clean. There are several amenities in walking distance (architectural boat tour, River walk, Whole Foods). We were pleasantly surprised to find that the bar has a large selection of wine!
"Great hotel in the windy city!"
We spent 6 nights at the Sheraton Grand in November (Thanksgiving week) and was not disappointed by our choice. Upon arrival we were greeted by two friendly members of staff, who checked us into our room. Our room was on the 9th floor partially looking into the city. Bedroom was MASSIVE with a lovely soft bed and great tv. Bathroom was very clean and tidy too. Facilities are good, we used the indoor pool which was a bit chilly and the saunas were nice once the temperature heated up. We didn't use the bar or eat at the hotel as we like to go out whilst on vacation. The location is great. You can walk to the magnificent mile, downtown and the pier. There are quite a few places to eat and drink near to the hotel plus there's a cinema over the road. Its a safe area to walk around at night. Overall a great hotel in an amazing city
"Excellent location, very good hotel, comfortable. Very helpfull staff."
I stayed at Sharon Grand Chicago in March 2016 (business travel). I booked club room and i was impressed with how wonderful and helpful staff was in the club room, very kind, accommodating and fun! Hotel is very much comfortable, it is a large establishment in great location near good restaurants and walking distance to everything.
"Beautiful Hotel in a Great Location!"
We stayed in a suite here to celebrate Christmas. The staff was so kind and helpful, making our stay away from home seem like we were right at home! The facilities are beautiful and service is great. The beds are extremely comfortable and anything you ask for they will try to get you. Can't say enough about the staff! The location is great too! Tons of places to eat, right near the AMC River East and Navy Pier. It's so easy to catch a cab or get an Uber here, but we loved seeing the beautiful sights as we walked (Yep, even in winter)! *Parking Tip: One thing I will note is that if you are planning on staying a few days and are bringing a car, pre-purchase the parking at Odgen Plaza online. You have out and in privileges and it is connected right to the hotel. Buying in advance will save you at least $26 a day as opposed to valet or on site parking with the hotel. *Incidentals: The hotel holds at least $100 for incidentals or of course you can use your credit card. I will note if you have kids though, they have snacks in the room that are on a monitored strip, so if they are moved (not even opened), you will automatically be charged. So make sure you cover or hide them.
"Nice place and location "
Staff was friendly, from the man at the curb, the front desk and even the maids. The view from our room was gorgeous and many rooms face the riverfront. The room was immaculate. The location is great for walking a number of places and convenient to major roads. Didn't try the restaurant as it was closed. Also didn't stay at the bar (no one was there) and didn't even go look at the pool. Overall a great stay and we will be back so long as we can get the price on priceline!
