"Central Location and Reliable Accomodations"
The Sheraton Grand is a fairly typical Sheraton "convention style" hotel. Lots of rooms, a large lobby and bar to accommodate the large number of guests. The rooms were spacious and clean and the rooms overlooking the river offered a very scenic view. Service was average and it was not overpriced. The concierge service was also just adequate.
"Fantastic hotel with Great service!"
We stayed here at the Sheraton for 3 nights in early April, and I can't express enough what a fantastic experience we had from beginning to end! We were greeted at the door and our luggage was immediately taken care of, we were a few hours early for checking in, but were able to check in right away, the lady at reception (can't remember her name - but I know she was a trainee) was extremely polite and helpful, upon checking into our room, we called reception and requested a fridge for our room (we have a 3 year old, so storing her milk etc. was important to us), the fridge arrived (with microwave) within 5 minutes! The list could honestly just go on and on! We have travelled and stayed in many different hotels, but I can honestly say that service wise this has got to be one of the best! Our room was lovely and spacious overlooking the lake (which was an added bonus) The hotel itself is in a great location. 5 min. walk to Michigan Ave. and approx. 10 min. walk to the Navy Pier. We will definitely be staying at this hotel again next time we visit Chicago!
Was here for a conference and love the property. Great location and beautiful. Close to michigan avenue and clean and courteous all around. Would come here on leisure travel and would rec this to future biz trips and personal. On site there are two patio restaurants that while we were here were not open as it is April and they are open in May, but the location would make those 2 spots awesome to go to! Inside there is a breakfast/lunch pattisserie which was good, a coffee shop which has to go sammys and salads, both good and then Shula's for dinner and the Chi bar which is the lobby bar which has beautiful windows overlooking the river.
What a great hotel. From first entering until we left everyone was so helpful. Tea and coffee facilities in the room spot on, if more needed just phone through and it's delivered. Fitness room and pool fantastic enough machines and choice. Lifts were speedy and never had to wait more than a few seconds.
"Really Fantastic Hotel"
Stayed here during the Chicago St. Patrick's Day celebration, and it was PERFECT. The room was clean and comfortable, and the view was spectacular. It was a cold weekend, so we appreciated being about to walk downstairs and directly out to the river to see it being dyed green. You really can't ask for a better location downtown. UBER and Lyft were reasonable fares to get around, but if the weather is nice, you can walk easily to souvenir shops, popular landmarks, restaurants, and bars. We upgraded to the Club level, which was more than worth the investment. The staff there was attentive, friendly, and welcoming. You really felt as if you were being invited into their personal homes for a meal. The Club food was tasty and varied. Really can't speak highly enough for this hotel!
