"Not worth its money"
Rediculously expensive for offering 1980 standard rooms. Food and drinks costs three times the price down the street. Good communications though with a very frequent shuttlebus and nice cars that drove us up to the annex up the hill. It has 5 stars, but it is not based on the room standard! Very nice view over the east parts of the city.
"Very nice, clean hotel"
Stayed here for a business conference and really enjoyed the property, the walks and hospitality. I stayed in the rooms located up the hill from the main hotel and it was very comfortable, clean and quiet. The hotel staff was very professional and friendly, and they could not do enough to assist anyone. The only complaint I had was the cost of the food on campus. Breakfast consisted basically of toast and jam, yogurt, or cereal and at 11,000 Won, it wasn't that great of a deal, and we all did much better walking down the hill into town to get some good local meals for much less.
"Good hotel but location is far from amentities"
Stayed 2 nights in Sheraton Grande Walkerhill Booked a twin room but they changed it to a double room during check in. Stayed on 6th floor. Room was comfortable and layout was good (toilet is separated from washing area). Amentities: as per normal Korean hotels, they provide soap, shampoo conditioner, tea/coffee but they do not provide toothbrush & comb, so do remember to bring! Special point about this hotel is that they have a casino, not very big but has a few tables and jackpot machines. Hotel has a bus shuttle running every 10mins that will bring you to the nearby subway. Walking is possible (takes around 15mins but it is a pretty steep hill). There are some small food cafes around the subway. Overall it is good but unless I have some special reason to be around that area, I would not like to stay at this hotel due to the inconvenient location.
"Good hotel with a few points with improvements"
Stayed at the Sheraton Seoul for a night in the Riverview deluxe room. Overall the hotel has a very tranquil ambience with quality, professional and polite staff. Great way to welcome your guests! Check in was a breeze, fast, efficient and friendly. The room is pretty good, it just has a few improvement points as these days there are a lot of great hotels and the standard increases more and more. The hotel is not a modern building so need to have that expectation set right. Cannot expect the most modern and sexy interior when you walk in. The rooms are actually quite small, and strangely only have a double bed. The bathroom sink and "kitchenette" is combined, bathroom is also quite compact. Kind of felt like being in hotels in Tokyo. But the view is amazing and the bed is super comfortable. At the end of the day that's one of the most important things about a hotel (after cleanliness, for us anyway) so we were super happy. Improvement points are for sure the hotel needs to offer free wifi. I have not stayed in a hotel, not even an air bnb in the last few years that did not offer free wifi. This was very strange, thanks god we had our wifi egg router. Then also rather stingy on the toiletteries, only a bar of soap, shampoo and conditioner. The area is not right in the city centre of Seoul But I think there are some shuttle bus services to take you to areas where you can catch public transport to go to downtown, and even if you don't there are many restaurants on site (super over priced but nevertheless) to choose from. We tried The Buffet, was great, great selection of food, good quality and fresh. Just a bit busy and noisy with a few kids here and there. Otherwise it was a comfortable stay!
"Excellent hotel fro conference, but not for the sightseeing of Speoul"
I stayed four days in this hotel located on the east of Seoul. The service was excellent, but our room, surprisingly, was very small. It is very strange that the bathroom is faced toward the beds, so you can hear different sounds of your partner in the toilet. I have not experienced this, in any hotel in the world! There is a free shuttle bus toward the first metro station, but generally speaking this is not hotel for sightseeing, only for conferences ( I participated on one conference held in this hotel). I would recommend fro example Belle-Essence Seoul hotel (former Renaissance Seoul Hotel ) located in the center of Seoul.
