"A beautiful modern hotel within walking distance of the Station"
This hotel exceeded expectations for a Sheraton. It is fairly new....approximately 5 years old...and has a premier position and commanding views ( especially high floors) of the station square area and far beyond. Highly recommend paying the extra for corner rooms which offer marvelous views. The bathrooms are large ...and luxurious. The beds are super comfortable. The on-site restaurants are also good. You will not be disappointed with your stay here.
"A fantastic hotel with lots of luxury"
This was hotel 4 of 6 during a business trip to Japan. If you value some Western elements when visiting Japan then this hotel will be very welcome to you. A key thing to note is that they serve an American, European and Japanese breakfast so if you are heading off for a busy day you can do so well fed. The rooms are enormous with a stunning open plan marble bathroom within the room which has the sink on an island. The bathroom and shower room is a wetroom set up which is wonderfully relaxing. Even the complimentary shower gel is very pleasant and I had to make use of the complimentary razors when my electric shaver was going flat and I’d forgotten the adaptor. All of these complimentary items were very pleasant and didn’t smell or feel cheap which makes a difference. In the room you’ll find a LAN cable and good Wi-Fi for working and really good coffee, which is not a given in Japan. There is also a designated desk for working and office chair which is very comfortable. The bed is so big as to need a taxi to go from one side to the next and you will find all excellent hanging space for work clothing. The hotel is well located for the railway station as an added bonus. I can’t comment on value for money as this was a business trip but suspect it is pricey but you do get a wonderful stay. Word for the wise though….. To use the pool costs additional money and the drinks in the bar are quite pricey too. Whether away for leisure or business this is a lovely hotel to stay in and I was sad to leave.
"A well located quality hotel in Hiroshima"
Quite a modern and classically Sheraton hotel, this is very well located close to Hiroshima Station. Our room on the 17th floor was quite roomy and comfortable and offered all the expected comforts of a western style hotel. One downside was the dirty carpet - hadn't been cleaned for quite a while by the look of it.
"Fabulous Sheraton Grand Hiroshima"
What a totally fabulous Hotel this is. Had a corner room which had an amazing view. The facilities, food, bed in fact everything impossible to fault. Would have liked to have liked to have stayed longer but first visit travelling around Japan not possible. Do not hesitate booking this hotel you will not be disappointed can not judge the other rooms but the corner room just makes your holiday extra special
"Great Place to Stay"
The hotel is minutes away from the train station, which is exceedingly helpful if you are travelling by train. The entrance is slightly confusing because the lobby is on the sixth floor. Still, the lady manning the desk on the ground floor was extremely helpful and friendly as most Japanese. Check in was very easy and the concierge was more than happy to help us, again in a very friendly manner. One felt as though she had all the time in the world for us. The room was spacious and well appointed with the usual yakuta and slippers. The bathroom was superb because it was split in two, with the wash basin between the shower/bath and the superb Japanese toilet. Breakfast was also memorable, with a good selection of both Japanese and Western food (there was also an egg station). It does get crowded though but the wait is a matter of minutes. The head chef, at least for breakfast, is a Canadian from Winnipeg who is extremely helpful with travelling tips in Hiroshima and beyond (he's married to a local girl and has a young son). I'm not sure whether he does this because he is just a good guy or management have come up with an additional chore for the head chef but he was worth his weight in gold. He was able to give us some good advice as to how to get to the Peace Park etc. On our second day, we saw him speaking to more guests/tourists, so not only does he keep the kitchen in order but also acts as an unpaid tourist guide. This is a comfortable hotel well worth checking out.
