"Very Good Overall"
Krakow was a charming city. The Sheraton was located at the edge of the old town, just around the corner from the castle. One could walk to any part of the old town from there easily. The room was old but comfortable, with a window facing the cafe in the lobby. Even so, it was surprisingly quiet. The breakfast was great, with a wide range of items to choose from. There were many cold and hot items alike. The service was quite good and efficient in general -- everything one should expect from a Sheraton. The rooftop terrace was a must-try, simply because of the spectacular view up there.
"American Prices/Fees in Poland"
Similar to other Sheraton locations I have stayed at, I just left unimpressed and this is probably the last time I will stay at one. It is not a terrible hotel, but for the price, you can find a MUCH better value in Krakow, such as boutique hotels or apartments. Here, you pay an American hotel rate/fees in Poland with the same old average Sheraton amenities. Staying here was honestly because I was worried about street noise in the Old Town, and the room I had on the 5th floor was quiet and had a little view of Wawel Hill, but the downside was being in an isolated location, a 15 minute walk from life in the city - whether you want to be in the Old Town, Kazimierz or even the proper city center. It is a residential area. When I checked in, I walked into find an uncleaned room, but mistakes happen and they took care of this while I went out for the day; I never did get the in-room safe to work. This is actually the FIRST time I have stayed at a hotel outside of the US/Canada and saw paid wi-fi in the room - not even in Zimbabwe or Myanmar have I seen this! The breakfast rate is listed at 90PLN but they offered it to me for 60PLN. I really had no other option close by. Even at the discounted price, it was just an incredibly mediocre breakfast, except for the egg station. I love food but the look and taste of the fruit, mini-pastries, etc. was completely unappetizing. I was also surprised that for such a huge hotel, both the pool and gym are very tiny. Trying to find a positive - they have a professional staff.

"Much more than a Sheraton!"
We spent three nights at this fine hotel in beautiful Krakow. The location is perfect - right on the river! The staff, with only one exception, is knowledgeable, cordial, eager to help. The daily breakfast buffet is marvellous - we could think of not a single item we would have liked that was not there.
