Everything was as I expectedComment of G. Miguel , Costa Rica the 2016-10-10
"Fantastic. Not 1 problem for em 3420. All hotels in this area have resort fee $9-$26/day parking 15-27$/day"
I was so leery and worried after booking and read so many neg previews. so I amped up to be "nice" and sweet to the front desk staff. I booked thru Priceline and u can't select room prefer til checked in. I asked them nicely if I can get a pool view and not 1st floor and quiet. I was on 3rd bldg 4th floor. The outside is like a typical resort. Not 5 stars. More of 3.5. The area is clean and nice. My room is so clean and roomy. All furniture are trendy modern looking. Lots of outlet for charger. I stayed at the B and Hilton so Sharon "newly remodeled" rooms are equivalent to both. I can see that they are fixing or doing maintenance on the 3rd building like painting. My AC IS quiet and cold. Beautiful view form 3420 room. They are better than Holiday inn resort that I recently stayed. However the check in area is like the B hotel down the road and better than Hilton. I stayed at both at The B and Hilton just recently. Both the B and Hilton charged me a hefty resort fee $20-$27/day and self parking $20/day. So others have commented about resort and parking might not been Disney area bc this location is Disney so they charged a lot. Sheraton charged me on $9.99/d for resort fee and $15/d for parking. That is reasonable for this area. When booking online via 3rd party site , they don't charge you for these 2 items. But they listed on your invoice for your reference. You have to pay at the hotel upon checking out. They do list taxes and fees on there but Priceline didn't charge my credit card for these fees. It does look confusing on my invoice from Priceline and Expedia. Thank you Sheraton. I love the stay. We will be back at the end of march. Hopefully I won't have negative encounter like others did. If it is like 3420 room on 2/16 then I am all good.
"Nice Big room with excellent beds"
Good stay while we were in Disney. Room was big and looked recently renovated. Room was very clean and fresh but hallways needed some attention some places like light fixtures. the sink area was excellent and beds were great. Double duvet were very warm and only needed the light blankets. i will come back despite the resort fees and parking. Wifi was very fast and bottled water daily was a good touch. Cool towels in the gym was refreshing. Grounds were kept clean at all times.
"Felt like a motel due to back entrance"
The hotel is laid out in such a way that there are four separate buildings that are not connected interiorly. I generally enjoy walking into a beautiful, brightly lit lobby buzzing with activity and then going up the elevator to the rooms. At this hotel our room was in the back building, so when we came and went, we just drove around to the back, walked across a blah parking lot and through an iron gate at the side entrance. We scanned our card and took the dated looking elevator up, then down the nondescript hallway to our room, which had a view of that same drab parking lot. I usually look for hotels that give a sense of escape from ordinary life, but this felt like a let down. None of this would matter if the Sheraton were presented as a 2 or 2.5-star hotel. But it is presented as a 4-star on travel websites. Not even close. It's dated and needs renovation, and the layout means that anyone staying in buildings 2, 3, or 4 is getting that motel feeling. I suppose Building #1 is fine. And rooms with a pool view are bound to be nicer. The inside of the rooms is fine, typical. There was a detail I didn't like so much, which was the placement of the bathroom counter and sink (with all those bright lights) outside of the actual bathroom. We have small kids, so it was tricky to get up before them or go to bed after them and keep that light off their sleeping faces. On a positive note, I have no complaints about check-in or any other aspect. The staff seemed nice.
"Nice Room, Comfortable Bed!"
Located near my business meetings I love to stay at this hotel. Easy in/out with close parking to the room. Beds are so comfortable and one gets a real good night sleep. Breakfast is excellent and reasonable as well.
"A bit noisy"
The rooms are nice enough. If you like a cold room they will do nicely. The first floor is the dog floor so I suggest a 3rd or 4th floor room on the inside. This saves you from the night time street noise, and the early morning dogs. Nothing will save you from early morning pool noises except maybe rain. Location is pretty good for getting to Disney Springs by Uber (<2 miles away). They have a shuttle to the Disney theme parks, but it's a bit slow in my opinion. They have so few king beds, you probably can't get one.
