"Favourite in LA"
The design of the hotel from the lobby to reception to the guests room remain elegant and modern. Excellent customer service from the Front Desk to Guest Services. It is really easy to hail taxi to travel around downtown or to popular beaches. Convenient walk to local area such as restaurants and shopping places. Definitely ideal if you want to stay at the best place in Downtown LA.
I went to the sheraton grand to stay with my friends who was visiting from overseas. This hotel is very clean and beautiful. We also went to the lobby cafe to get coffee which we, had help from one of the staff (Matt). He was very accommodating and friendly and his coffee was delish.
"Favorite hotel I'm LA"
I'm in LA 3 times a year and first time I stayed at the Sheraton I was here for a week and loved the hotel. Great beds, breakfast, bar and gym. Saw Enrique every morning at breakfast and made me feel at home
I have started to work in LA and had the pleasure of staying at this hotel which is close to my office. The staff members are very friendly and helpful especially Juan in the club lounge who goes out of his way for everyone! It is nice to come to the lounge at night after work and have a glass of wine and all the guests who are regulars come and visit with Juan. It makes a huge difference that he is so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this property.
"Nice rooms and Club services--just get past the lobby!"
I accompanied my husband when he came to LA for business. The office made the recommendations as they have a corporate rate here. I opted for a "club" level room since it included breakfast and a reception in the evening for a modest amount more ( corporate rate.) The lobby is not very inviting. There are some awkward seats and a bar that I have not seen staffed. The bar one floor down is a bit basement-like. The hotel has been remodeled recently and the rooms are nicely done in grays and white. They aren't huge but there is plenty of room and a sofa/chaise that is very comfortable. Our room had a safe , mini fridge, coffee maker and free water along with a 40" ' Flat screen tv. Very clean and quiet. The bathroom has a tub/shower combo with a shower curtain. My only negative comment is that there are no grab bars in the bathroom and the floor is slippery when wet. Be cautious. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms have individual temperature controls. The "Club" is on the top floor and is accessible with one's room card-more on that later. Breakfast was very good, much better than the usual hotel/motel free breakfast. There were eggs, sausage, bacon, Cereals, fruit yogurt etc. The view is lovely! The service is prompt and friendly. However, the chairs are heavy and hard, if not impossible to move so it's hard to get comfortable eating at the tables. The key cards! They have a new system for the elevators! One scans the key card under the reader and selects the floor on the monitor. There are no floor buttons inside the elevator. We saw many people struggle to figure out the system and we , too, went places we didn't expect. I'm sure one gets used to the elevators eventually but how long are you in a hotel' The hotel is located in downtown LA which is very much a downtown. Expect street people along with business people. Tall faceless buildings but good views of the mountains. Many new restaurants.
