"Great Club Lounge... No AC in the rooms"
Unfortunately, I now understand why the Sheraton Miyako hotel cost the lowest amount of points/night to book. It's a very average hotel. Everything looks nice in the lobby, and everything is very similar to other Sheraton's around the world.... but it's missing a huge requirement!! No AC in the rooms. After a hot shower, the entire room is steamy and muggy making it very difficult for my wife to put on her makeup in the morning. Thankfully, we were able to request a fan to make sleeping more comfortable. The only thing saving this place from a 1 or 2 star review is the legit club lounge. Great breakfast and after dinner snacks/wine. Did I mention that the hotel is in a pretty inconvenient location' For the standard point redemption it's worth it, but I wouldn't stay here if I had to pay out of pocket for a room.
"The great on in Tokyo"
The location is great, easy to go to Ginza and Tsukiji market! I stayed one night for leftover, the room is clean, comfortable and great for sleep! The hotel staff very friendly. Great choice in Tokyo!
"Nice hotel with highs and lows."
Nice building in a residential, safe and peaceful neighborhood. Though there are not many shops in the surroundings, and just vending machines, we liked it. It is 5 minutes away from a small subway station (Shirokanedai) and 15 minutes away from Meguro (there is a shuttle service form hotel). Nice lobby, beautiful garden and great spa. Very nice bedroom (8th floor), comfortable beds, coffee/tea maker and mini bar. Basic bathroom, not nice shower curtain. Very attentive staff and willing to help. The exceptions: 1) we were given an older room and not the one we reserved (it was solved), 2) we missed the magnetic cards in our room, and it was problematic and a waste of tome to get duplicates., 3) we were referred to the Reservation Department, but they offered a rate 30% higher tan in Internet. The biggest problem was the impossibility of regulating the air conditioning. As the cold weather approached, it was regulated solely to give the option of heat. The bedroom was sealed and hot. A fan was placed as the only solution.
This hotel has great service from helping me to book restaurants, being responsive to emails and Graf check in service. I also love the hotel lounge. What's amazing is the beautiful view of the hotel gardens. The train station is a 10 minute walk from the hotel so it's pretty convenient.
"Great service and comfortable room"
Service at the hotel is very helpful and friendly. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. The area around is very peaceful, clean, safe and quite. There is nice garden and shrine next to the hotel if you are looking for a place to rest. However there are not many places to eat around. The only problem I had was that it's pretty distant from central Tokyo locations and yamanote line. So you can either take a hotel shuttle or walk to Meguro or Shinagawa stations (both ~15minutes). Or take Shirokenday and change to yamanote later which probably will take same time as walking straight to meguro.
