Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel is one mile to Arlington National Cemetery. Many attractions including the White House, Lincoln Memorial and the National Museum of Natural History are within a 10-minute drive of the hotel.
We enjoyed staying at the Sheraton. The staff was very friendly particularly the shuttle drivers. The only complaint is the breakfast was not very good. The waitress was good but the quality of the food was poor.Comment of V. Charlotte , United States the 2016-07-21
"mislead us on reservation and confirmation - unacceptable !"
reserved a unit for four days, defined necessary bedding upon reservation and called before arrival to confirm. was told everything in order. ARRIVED, and found too few beds, NO help or care form front desk, NO response from managers, NO care, NO help. Terrible experience. Poor management, dirty old hotel, terrible location and difficult access. We come to DC often and will never stay there again.
"Close to Arlington Cemetery for funeral."
Made reservation for three singles. Reservation accepted for two queen beds and one roll away.. At check-in was told roll away could not be put in room because of fire regulation. Compensated free garage. Third party slept on floor for three nights. Not acceptable. Should have found some way to have three beds. Second room, larger room, anything!!
Food in restaurant is great with great price. Valet is high price but you can find meter parking. Room Size is awesome and city views are great for the sunset views. Also Pool is indoor with heat and great for kids.
"Ladies road trip "
Very nice hotel. Hotel was clean and everyone was very helpful. It has a small gift shop, Starbucks cafe, and restaurant. Plenty of parking. Easily located for site seeing. Shuttle service (about 6 min ride) to mall and Metro station that takes you right into Washington DC. Or a quick cab ride to Arlington Cemetery.
"Poor Housekeeping and Room Condition."
This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel - I honestly thought the first time was a fluke due to a sellout night, but after my second stay I can definitely a say this hotel has some major issues. Both times I've stayed here I've been banished to the pavilion building. Rooms are in horrible condition. Furniture is dinged up, carpets covered in stains, beds are old and very uncomfortable. Housekeeping us severally lacking - Comforters were dirty and obviously needed changing. The bedskirt had obviously not been changed in quite some time. Bathroom had mold growing in it. The doors were supposed to be locked at 10PM but since they don't close all of the way - They were never actually secure. Walls let in noise from the hallways and other rooms. Entryway is very dimly lit. There are railings running alongside the sidewalk that are literally held together with electrical tape (Not well at all - I'd consider this a major safety issue for anyone who tried to use it). The only positive I can think of is that room service was good, quick, and relatively inexpensive. I did not enjoy my stay here at all - I would not recommend this hotel in its current cobdition and honestly I'll fight as long as it takes to get a refund.
