Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel is one mile to Arlington National Cemetery. Many attractions including the White House, Lincoln Memorial and the National Museum of Natural History are within a 10-minute drive of the hotel.
We enjoyed staying at the Sheraton. The staff was very friendly particularly the shuttle drivers. The only complaint is the breakfast was not very good. The waitress was good but the quality of the food was poor.Comment of V. Charlotte , United States the 2016-07-21
"Disappointing but ok!"
Since this was the second time we have stayed here we were expecting it to be like we remembered. Unfortunately, the room was noisy from the road sounds. We did have a great view but the windows really need to be cleaned to enjoy it better. The room was clean and the service was great. The restaurant was good but pricey! Breakfast buffet at $16 was cold. Service to connect to the Metro was great which is one of the reasons we stayed there before.
Started with 1 room ( double double) in the East building. Room was very small for 2 adults and 2 kids. Added a second room in the main building and it definitely had more room and didn't feel like the entire building was an afterthought. Both rooms were very clean. Staff was always nice and attentive but the hotel is a little out of the way from everything we did. Restaurant was ok but pricey for what you get even by local standards. Worst Dinner we had all week. All meals for 4 were between $75-$125 Shuttle service to the airport and Metro was convenient. $14 a day for internet is ridiculous. I can buy additional data for less.
"*Dungeon- please stay away from this hotel""
Booked this hotel looking at the nice lobby pictures and hoping for a nice city view. They put us in the east room. It is practically a dungeon/basement. You can hear hotel bus going above you. The bed sheet smelled. Ceiling are about 7 feet high. Being a IHG member, I have never experienced something like this from Sheraton. Truly disappointed. We will never stay at Sheraton again...
Overall the hotel was nice. Obviously pricy considering the area. In a very good location to historical attractions. Cabs or Uber are the primary travel means and be prepared to drop $60 for a round trip cab ride to downtown D.C. The pool has quirky hours and is not available during the day. One restaurant on the hotel, which is rather pricey. All rooms have great views of the D.C. area.
First of all we were told by reservations that the room would be connected. Then confirmed at check in the rooms would connect. They weren't! We had young kids. Then i called the gift shop and asked if they sold bathing suits for my kids... The lady sounded like she coild hardly speak english she hung up the phone at first then I called back she told me she has small sizes so I went downstairs to purchase and when I went her name tag said trainee, she started showing me tee shirts for bathing suits... Seriously' So I guess she also need training in the English Language, made no sense so I went on the road and got bathing suits and brought my kids to the pool at 1pm and was told by the gentleman at the pool that they can't go in until 5pm because the pool was just being treated... This was it for me! I can't believe they dont treat the pool at nights so the guests are not inconvenienced. The hotel is nice and the breakfast and the rooms but otherwise they need proper management for simple common sense things that they dont need to be taught to figure out....
