We stayed at the Sheraton Prague for 4 nights in late December. The hotel itself was nice, although the room was surprisingly small. Other than a closet for hanging clothes, we had nowhere to put any of our other clothing and had to live out of suitcases for a few days. I'm sure they have larger rooms, so this review is specifically for the smaller rooms they have. The location is nice, it's about a ten minute walk to Wenceslas Square, which helps with possible noise. The walk from the rest It's also very close to a tram stop and a very solid craft beer bar. The staff were accommodating and helpful anytime we needed anything. Would stay at this hotel again if we were able to get a larger room. At the same time, if you want to stay closer to Old Town Square, it's about a 20 minute walk downhill, so realize you'll be heading back uphill as well.
"FAR FROM THE CITY"
This hotel is far from the city, the breakfast is average, the price of the suite is very expensive without any view of the city. The concierge(name Maria) is very kind and helpful, and the staff of hotel also.
"Great time over New Years!"
My wife and I spent New Year's Eve in Prague as part of our honeymoon, and could not have had a better experience staying at the Sheraton Charles Square! Our Junior Suite was extremely large, clean, and amazingly comfortable (how have we lived so long without a towel warming rack in the bathroom''), and all our interactions with the staff were pleasant and friendly. We'd recommend this hotel to any of our friends or family and will definitely be returning anytime we go back to Prague!
This hotel was alright. I spent Christmas here and the food at the restraunt was pretty bad. The rooms were clean and the staff were very nice. Breakfast buffet was very good and beds were comfy. Also the the tv channels were fantastic. Overall great hotel.
"Not a five star hotel"
Disappointing is an understatement. Claims 5 stars but is more like a 3. On arrival the staff claimed that they did not have our children on the booking, despite confirmation from the agent (BA Holidays). room was poor (a duplex) - dark, dingy, not enough storage space, bathroom (with no shower) on the upper level which made it difficult for our children, when they were eventually accommodated on the couch bed. Rude staff (room cleaner and breakfast server) is numerous as the helpful ones. We tried to move hotels, but this being New Year, the good ones were full (we should have booked a different one in the first place). Poor standard of breakfast, poor standard of exec lounge. generally drab. On the positive a fairly good location, just a few minutes walk from the old town square. Prague itself is a wonderful city, and so we spent most of our time out, away from this poor standard of unhospitable hotel.
