"Good location for commuting and shopping and excellent front desk staff"
After SPG became part of Marriott, I decided to stay at Sheraton Pudong. Location is great as other said. Right next to Line 4 subway Tangqiao station and one shopping center (Spring Paris) which has some high end shops (more expensive than US or EU) and food court. Also easy to get taxi. Even if SPG merged with Marriott, Marriott gold doesn't have access to the club lounge as SPG only offer the access to Platinum level. However, you can pay 150 RMB (evening cocktail hour only) or about 300 RMB (all day) to get access per day. For evening time, it's worth the price as you get some food and unlimited drinks. Restaurant (Feast) offer wide range of food for breakfast and dinner buffet. The best part was the front desk staff who was very accommodating and friendly. My travel schedule had complication which had uncertainly of checkout date and she accommodated my last minute change. Gym was spacious and not too crowded with enough equipment. No steam room or sauna though. Room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. Wifi wasn't very good .. this was a bit of problem but this happens at other hotels in shanghai too. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and perhaps I come back when I become Platinum level.
Really liked it. The service is a little too reserved, but that's typical for China. The hotel is located in Pudong and the subway is right around the corner. It's a nice area. By the way: a karaoke club is right around the corner ;-)
The location was really convenient when I stayed here for a business trip. There is a mall a block away from the hotel that has a few restaurant options that are open late if you are looking for a bite after a late meeting. The room was a little dated but clean, and the bathroom was clean as well. There are a few restaurants located within the hotel. We ate at the western restaurant one night just for convenience but the food was pretty terrible. The breakfast buffet however was really great. Lots of different options so you should definitely find something to eat even if you're a picky eater. There are lots Chinese and western food options in the morning. I was able to easily book a car through the hotel to pick me up from the airport on my arrival and arranged a car to take me to the airport at the information desk. All of the employees speak English really well so you shouldn't encounter any communication issues.
Located right in front of Tang Qiao Metro station. Hence, you won't need to worry on transport. You will be surrounded by lots of eateries as well as a shopping right beside the hotel (where there is a 24hours Haidilao). Booked this hotel through the hotel website, didn't come with daily breakfast nor Internet ( wifi costs 90yuan per day). Dialed "0" to check if they wifi is free, their "go the extra mile" effort had grant me the free access. Kudos!!! Like other hotel in Shanghai, front line counter staff English proficiency rather on the bad side. This is my 3rd hotel in Shanghai in my 10days trip, undeniable this is the best so far. My room come with a river view.
"Great 2 Days"
As a Platinum the Suite was great although beginning to get a little tired and will soon be in need of some attention but the staff more that compensate and the bed was MAGNIFICENT. The restaurant isn't great but the Executive Lounge satisfies my eating needs
