Buen hotel para descansar, muy lento en la asignación de habitaciones muy lenta, nos dijeron 15 min y se demoraron mas de 5 horas. GOOD Hotel if you want relax plan, but its so slowly the reception process, when I arrive tell me "in 15 minutes you have room", I was pending by 5 hours.
"Great hotel with an excellent location"
This hotel is located on a beautiful beach, not far away from the famous Cobacabana beach( not in walking distance). There are two large pools with a children's pool. Three nice restaurants. Platinum members are treated nicely and we were upgraded to a suite with partial ocean view. The executive lounge serves breakfast and evening cocktails with appetizer. Algosto ( I probably got his name wrong) was the only guy working at the lounge in evening. He enjoyed his work so much that he never took a moment to rest. He was either serving drinks to guest or serving hot appetizers, or talking to guests. He danced back and forth between the kitchen and lounge. It was amazing to see someone like him. All other staffs are very courteous and good at what they do.

Slightly off center ,& difficult to walk any where safely , but having stopped in numerous Sheraton it did not disappoint , large well appointed rooms , all with a sea view , wifi free with 8 - 12 m b good for a hotel , with three large pools overlooking a small beach . Plenty of security , worth up grading to the club room with the extra facilities .If catching a late flight u can pay 99 $ to leave @ 18 00'. Taxis take one hour plus to the airport , depending on the time of day which are plentiful outside .Lots of space everywhere , just avoid cruise groups , which can make it crowded !! Tip would not advise renting a car the traffic , particular with the motor bikes speeding in & out of the heavy traffic .
"Very nice hotel but the communication with the guests could be improved"
This Sheraton hotel has a beautiful lobby and very nice and spacious rooms. We arrived early in the morning, one day before we started our cruise with Regent Seven Seas. Upon arrival, the reception should have told us where we could find the helpdesk for the cruise. They didn't ... An early check in would have cost 60 $ extra ! Why ' The room was available anyway ... We got our room keys late in the afternoon when we came back from our city tour. Again no information whatsoever. Finally we found out ourselves where the helpdesk was but by that time the desk was closed.
"Disgusting hotel and staff"
First and last trip to Rio or staying in a Sheraton. How can I put negative stars' The room had insects in it and nobody vacuumed. The bathroom was never cleaned. The sheets were dirty. Towels had to requested every time and hardly ever turned up. You have to ask for body wash. Any hotel should provide basic amenities and be clean. I had contacted them before booking as I am disabled, vegetarian and have food allergies. Despite their reassurances in advance that they can cater for allergy sufferers, they cannot. I had to repeatedly ask for food that was safe to eat from various members of staff and when they told me it was safe, I found that it was not and had to endure an allergic reaction. They kept giving me food which I had told them in advance that I cannot eat. I starved at this hotel on an all inclusive deal. Breakfast had lots of insects. Vegetarian does not mean eating chicken or insects. I asked numerous staff to call a manger which they did not do immediately. Nobody is trained in first aid so if you have anaphylaxis, don't go there. Even when you complain in person or on the phone they don't do anything. They totally ruined my trip on the first full day I was there. I've complained twice directly to Starwood who are ignoring me. I have complained directly to the hotel who claim that starving a guest in a dirty room and ignoring them is treating you in a caring and understanding manner! How is that' I did not fly halfway across the world to end up taking tablets and starving and looking forward to leaving. Absolutely disgusting treatment of a guest!
