"Needs new carpets and furniture"
I recently stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. I chose it since Tauck travel operators use this one for their tours. The old building has not been updated since they opened the hotel it appears. Carpets looked 20 years old. Smoke free rooms are not really smoke free. The management is not helpful when we requested for a room in the new towers. It has a convenient location, but mediocre by other standards including their breakfast service. If you want luxury, avoid it.
"Nice lobby, event hall and cafe for breakfest"
Rooms are pretty old design but spacious. Pool ain't that fantastic maybe becoz of the old building design. Overall the event hall is very good. Nice tea break package. Breakfast at the cafe has good variety of choices. Lovely setting. Service is also good all round from all the staff. Amenities are same as all Sheraton chain. Good location in town with very good close walking distance. Level 23 within Sheraton has a nice overview of the city and cool place to chill out for some drinks.
"Friendly, helpful staff"
Great people make a great hotel. Staff were wonderful. The hotel is little dated but very well kept. The room was fully stocked. Everything about this hotel was wonderful except for the price. The buffet was the best we've seen. We checked out the restaurant, the price for sea food, especially for the lobster, was outrage and unrealistic. Naturally, we went elsewhere.
"Excellent and highly recommend"
I was here on vacation for several nights and this is an excellent hotel that I highly recommend. From the amazing breakfast buffet, to the well equipped gym, the friendly staff, great location, etc, etc, etc, this is a great hotel. My only minor complaint is that the pool is not heated and is therefore quite cold, even when it is 34 degrees outside.
"Great stop to start off a tour of Vietnam"
This is very good hotel, in an excellent location in the heart of Saigon. Great rooms, fabulous breakfast buffets, and a wonderful Club Lounge. Staff were very attentive, loved our room. Thanks to Scott Hodgetts and his staff for making our first stop in Vietnam excellent and memorable. Only negative comment is that the pool was too cold to enjoy, but that seemed to be a regular theme throughout the region. That was the only difference between a 4 and 5 Star review.
