The Renaissance is a great place to stay. The rooms are somewhat dated but very clean and comfortable. Upgraded flat panels and the wifi is extremely fast for hotel service. Lounge on 16th floor is average at best. Food is very limited but free drinks makes it worth while. The staff is what makes the difference. They are amazing and attentive. They truly make this hotel worth the stay. Great location beachfront and much less priced than the David IC which is overpriced for similar rooms without the amazing Renaissance staff.
"Great hotel on the beach"
The hotel is located right on the the beach and importantly, on the part of the beach which is suitable for swimming. All rooms have balconies, offering great views of the beach and the sea. They are a really good size, very clean with a modern-ish decor and good amenities. Although the hotel is located at the other end to the Old City, it's within walking distance. However, the walk is not recommended for those with health issues as the sun can be strong...even in October. A great hotel for business and pleasure. I'd happily stay here again.
Very nice people. Greeting and service was great. Ice delivered to room, replaced broken hair dryer, and great directions for jogging. Hotel a bit dated, could use a little updating but not bad. Several stores and restaurants close by.
"Good business hotel"
Stayed here for a few nights recently and this is a pretty good business hotel. It's right by the beach where there are loads of exercise spaces, outdoor equipment and a running/walking area - right outside the hotel. The room was a decent size and really quiet. Bed was warm and comfy plus good pillows. Desk area with decent speed, free Wifi. Good bathroom and plenty of hot water for the shower. I had breakfast each day (extra charge) and it's a good mixture of hot and cold buffet food. Everything form european continental to middle eastern to asian - looked like something for everybody. Staff were good - all really helpful. Prices not bad for a capital city and by the beach
"Great service and nice room view"
We stayed for the first time in Israel. The service was great in special Ilan from the front desk who speak different languages and my mother speak only Spanish. The social hour was very good with wine and local food. Breakfast we were not able to enjoy due the tours arrived very early. The hotel has great view and amazing walk area around.
