"bad timing on my part"
Oh dear! Not being Jewish, I didn't know that Yom Kippur would fall in the middle of our short break in Tel Aviv, so unfortunately discovered that the hotel, along with the rest of the city, was shut down for about a day and a half. Not being able to eat anything anywhere or even lie on a sunbed on the beach or use the hotel pool (shut) was a bit of a disappointment and I do think the hotel website ought to make it absolutely clear as to when such events are likely to adversely impact their guests' stay. That said, the hotel is in a great location, with direct access to the lovely sandy beach and the 5 km promenade. We were originally given a north facing room ( anywhere you stay using Marriott points you always seem to get the least good rooms) but reception did allow me to move when I complained so that we could have a sunny, south facing room with the better view. I personally found the breakfasts just about OK when there were hot options (which was only two times out of our five meals) but definitely not OK when there were just bowls of salad, tuna, hummus, rice cakes and the like. Why no Bircher muesli, for example, which is a Marriott classic' And why only one morning when there was avocado on offer, when they are grown in Israel' Our only evening meal in the restaurant was also completely underwhelming and I'd avoid it if possible. One good feature of the hotel is the large basement swimming pool which is extremely good if you like proper lane swimming. Having said all that, I'd stay again, but be better prepared and check dates etc before I went.
"Fantastic week in Tel Aviv"
We booked 3 rooms for a week to spend a family reunion holiday. The service was great, rooms were good and comfortable and the lication of the hotel is great. We enjoyed our stay a lot and will sure come back.
"Great Location, Exceptional Staff"
We had the pleasure of spending time at this property after a 2-week trip thru Israel & Jordan. From the moment we arrived to the time we left, the friendly, professional staff couldn't do enough to make our stay relaxing and a pleasure. The property is situated right on the Mediterranean Sea with great views of the beach and the boardwalk. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. The bell staff was very efficient and thorough. They explained all the features of the newly remodeled suite we were assigned. The General Manager, Meir Keinan, introduced himself to us and took exceptional care of us while we were there. The lounge had excellent service and food. Great piano player! Upon departure, the staff weighed our luggage for us to help get it balanced for the flight home, ordered a cab and were a great help. My #1 choice for Tel Aviv!
Very friendly staff very clean rooms beautiful view of the beach convenient to all religious attractions and sites. Very convenient to the airport. The beaches are beautiful people are friendly food is excellent many choices I would recommend anyone come here who wants to relax see the sights and eat well
