Centrally located in Waikiki, this resort is right next to Waikiki Beach as well as world-class shopping and dining. Diamond Head crater, or Leahi as it is known in Hawaiian, is located just three miles from the resort. The moderate hike to the top takes approximately 45 minutes—but is well worth the memories that will last a lifetime.
We loved staying at the Sheraton, the room was great and the service of the staff was amazing. We ate out most if the time and explored the surrounding shopping precinct. There was lots to do and eat and it was all very close and central. This was our Honeymoon and when we wanted to do something the concierge was very helpful in organising things for us to do. Particularly Aiko Storm was magnificient.Comment of V. Nicholas , Australia the 2016-09-04

Perfect hotel for relaxation. Swimming pools provide great experience for both kids and adults. Most rooms provide great views of the ocean, but oceanfront rooms were brilliant. Bathrooms are adequate and property is very well maintained and clean. Various food options available on site and chargeable back to your room. Well located and centrally located on the beach front.Comment of E. Richard , Australia the 2016-08-01

The Sheraton Waikiki was a great stay. The hotel was about a 30 minute cab ride (traffic during rush hour) and cost about $40. Check-in went fairly well. There was a line but they were doing their best to accommodate people as fast as possible. The check-in desk was very friendly and answered all my questions. The hotel has 12 elevators so you never have to wait too long! As a little bonus, if you have status with Starwood, they give you an voucher for the gift/snack shop. If you are Gold you get a smaller bag and if you are Platinum you get a bigger bag. You then get to go into the shop and fill it with whatever you want for free. I was able to snag a coffee mug and some assorted snacks. ROOM (2664) My room was nice. I was upgraded due to my Platinum status with Starwood. The room had a king bed with one night stand, a closet with shelves, a safe for valuables, closet with hangers, iron and board, mini fridge, desk and chair, sofa chair and ottoman and table, TV, extra wall shelves for storage, coffee maker, 9 outlets for electronics, an iPad for your use, and...an amazing view! The sliding door opened up right to a patio with two chairs and a table. The view of the beach and mountains from the 26th floor was fantastic. BATHROOM The bathroom had a shower/bathtub combination, a toilet with bidet, a sink with lots of counter space, a hairdryer, and 3 plugs for electronics. LOUNGE The lounge was very large. There was nothing but windows facing the ocean. I could watch fireworks on the beach at night. The view was better than the food options. For being such a big hotel in a fancy price where you pay a pretty penny, they should offer more. In the evening for snacks, they had cheese and crackers, bread and hummus, veggies, spring rolls, fruit, and assorted drinks. I'm the morning for breakfast, they had eggs, sausage, fruit, oatmeal, breads, and assorted drinks. POOL The pool area is large and it is just steps from the beach. It was clean and I found no issues. They hotel offers lounge chairs and towels. The pool staff was also friendly. OVERALL Overall the hotel left me with a great impression. The staff was very friendly. The extra recognition for my Platinum Starwood status was great. My room was very nice and modern and clean. I didn't even find remnants of sand or anything. There were plenty of electrical outlets for my devices. The lounge offered lots of space and phenomenal views, however I was disappointed at the lack of options. Because the lack of options in he lounge was the biggest issue I found, I will still give the hotel a 5 out of 5 and hope they make improvements in the future.
"Expensive but great location and service"
I've stayed here a few times as I think it's the best location in Waikiki. This place feels very commercial with the ground floor made up of basically a mall...the service is top notch though, the spa is good and even reasonably priced...the price of rooms though are quite ridiculous.... Often run $600 for a regular hotel room which is more than you pay at the Ritz in NYC. Still, if you can afford it it's beautiful. Rooms come with balconies and amazing views, there are great restaurants within 5 min walk. Never ate at the Sheraton hotel restaurants except for the club lounge, which has a modest breakfast in the morning but outstanding views. It's a good choice if you value time over money (such as, if you only take one week vacation a year because you work around the clock). If you spend a lot of time traveling, go for a more affordable place nearby and you'll probably have almost as good an experience and feel better about not having spent so much.
This was my sons make a wish trip, we loved every minute being there. We had a hard time leaving to come back home. We are going to try our hardest to come back again next year. Thank you for all of your hospitality, I would highly recommend this place to everyone I know. Mahalo!
Everyone was helpful and very friendly. Location was great with many shops and restaurants close by and the view of Waikiki beach was awesome. Rooms are spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We had a very nice stay. Dean
We have been staying in this hotel since 2002 with the exception of our trip in May 2014. This hotel is in a perfect location; but after its major renovation in 2008, it turned into a very crowded and noisy resort! Another point that should be told about this hotel is the way guests are treated! You will get lots of attention if you are a guest who goes there several times per year or a guest from a foreign land! I should also remind you to avoid the buffet breakfast because it is very expensive ($35) unless it is part of your reservation! We have been going there because of its proximity to all points of interest! Have a nice stay!
