"decent room, good price, ok location"
rooms are dated and need a refresh but reasonable and comfortable overall. Price is good for a marriot chain (not much choice for members in pattaya), and ok location. Not in loud area right in the middle of things, but a 1km walk away - close bit quieter. On the downside, it's advertised as non-smoking in all public areas. However 2 floors are smoking (out of 7) and entire pool/lounge area is "the" smoking area, which is very disappointing. The exercise room treadmills are cheap consumer grade machines and worn out... No elliptical. Breakfast buffet is decent and varied, but no bagels and cream cheese'
"Our stay at Courtyard south pattaya"
We stayed in the hotel in last week of January 2017. We could check in at around 2.30 Pm we had booked 2 rooms and it was given at the topmost floor.View from the room was very good, location was good, food was good but the big defect was flooring in one of the rooms the wood layer of the floor was tearing of and the whole room had lot of patches and at times it was hurting also.We didn't expect this from Marriott group of hotel. They should have closed the room for maintenance rather than alloting to guests. We had made our bookings 2 month in advance also. When we complained to them they were giving expression as though they are surprised to know about it and not aware of it.
"Courtyard - South Pattaya"
Lovely hotel, conveniently located within a walking distance from the famous Walking Street. The rooms are pretty modern and clean. Hotel has lovely restaurant, bar and the poolside. Very friendly and helpful staff. Best part of the hotel is the location, though near to the hustling bustling of Pattaya but pretty quite. Would definitely come back in future.
"No man's land: edge of Pattaya City &Jomtien"
Feels a bit on the edge of Pattaya and Jomtien. Be prepared to pay 200 baht constantly for taxis. 300baht if you want to get to northern Pattaya Excrllent staff service and friendly; ask for rooms overlooking the pool . Located Close to Walking street if that's your action. Many good Indian restaurants around. Great breakfasts at Momo restaurant on site. Very good professional proper thai massage parlour Queen of massage about 400 metres down the road Not good for families with young children;; meals pricey but not yet at Marriot level; very few good Thai restaurants in walking distance; lots of group tour visitors.
"Under the Courtyard by Marriott average"
The hotel is conveniently located, close to public transports and central between Pattaya and Jomtien. Walking street is at a 10 min walk. The staff is very welcoming, helpful and kind but in my opinion needs training and stronger management. The rooms are quite spacious with good beds. Minus is that the rooms are interconnected (by a locked door), which makes it noisy if your neighbours are noisy. Allthough generally clean, a thorough cleaning would do no harm. Breakfast buffet offers a large choice and is quite good, but I missed the traditional croissant. The pool is small and enclosed, the hotel has almost no garden. The entire place has lived a bit, it could do with a refresh. All together, if you are happy with an average hotel at an average price, this hotel can do. Not recommendable if you are on a pure holiday or for a longer stay.
