"A very lovely hotel, the room was delightful."
The hotel is beautiful, the staff extremely helpful and charming, the service excellent, the complimentary breakfast was wonderful. my daughter and I enjoyed our stay very much - except for the disruptions in electricity which caused problems with the internet and particularly with the elevators (sine I am no longer young).
"very good place"
I was there for an individual vacation. The place is really clean, the rooms are very comfortable. The only thing which is not good is the distance from the center. Anyway there is a super Taxi service
"Nice hotel but only 3,5 stars"
I stayed at this hotel one night as a part of a tour through Spain and Portugal. It is a huge hotel but not renovated. The room was clean, the TV was small but the bed was king size. A negative thing is the presence of a single socket in the room but there is another one in the bathroom. The breakfast was so-so but they served tomatoes and even some fruits ( a very rare thing in Spain). The swimming pool was very nice and the sunbeds were free. The hotel is close to the bus station and Mercadona market.
"Rude waiting staff"
I was at this hotel at the end of december and I must say that a waitress (Rosa Maria) made us feel very uncomfortable during our first day at breakfast. My younger daughter (11 years old) does not have breakfast in the morning (I paid for it anyway!) and I was preparing two sandwiches for her to eat later on. This waitress came to our table yelling at us that we could not take food away and she put a card on the table to warn us. She was very aggressive and rude and she did not give me time to explain. I said I would have talked to the manager and asked for her name. She showed me, in a challenging way, her badge and where the manager was. I must say the manager was very professional and he apologized on her behalf and he offered to prepare the sandwiches for the following days (but the following days I never asked for anything and preferred to buy them outside). While I was talking to him the waitress came to listen what we were talking about and she lied on her behaviour. I told her she was a liar and listen to this.... she left the dining room and went away stopping working (she said "Me voy"). It would have been much simpler to apologize and smile and I would have accepted it. We stayed at the hotel for three days but in the morning we really felt uncomfortable and we had a quick breakfast. We felt as if we were spied while we were eating and the waitress I was talking about before NEVER said good morning to us. I have been travelling for 30 years and I have never been treated like that. People like Rosa Maria shouldn't work in places like this and someone should tell her that what she earns is also because tourists pay money to stay in the hotel where she works.
"Silken Al-Andalus Palace Hotel"
A very good hotel within easy reach of the city by public transport. Many cafes and bars a short walk from the hotel. The hotel rooms are a good size and very clean and quiet. The hotel has plenty of public space both in the lobby and outside by the pool.
