"Returned after eight years."
Flew in for a one night stand to attend a conference at a local manufacturer. Observing my room I can say that it has recently been renovated and was very clean and comfortable. The front of house remains much as I remembered, neat, tidy and efficient, but I had to smile when I noted that the restaurant didn't open until 20.30pm. When will the northern Spanish hotels and restaurants wake up to the fact that non Spanish people, particularly with children prefer to eat about 19.00! As it happened I ate very well at the conference centre at 19.30!! Breakfast at the Ciudad is exceptional and as good as I remember.
only one night in vitoria, parked in street within blue parky areas no probs. reception staff all very efficient. Room nice size large, so good if your staying longer. All the reg room stuff, mini bar, a/c etc.no road noise , did not eat in (night) if it was available , but breakfast was loverly ,plenty of proper fare and eggys to order if you want. staff were wonderful darling, we would come again......town has tons to see ,little streets ,tapas ,cake more cake and coffee and cake.A good night out when we were there.
I've used this hotel on previous trips. It was very good the first time and still maintains this standard. Nothing to quibble about from entering to leaving. At busy times it can be a bit tricky getting your car off the road to unload, but that has never been an issue. It is a handy distance for a pleasant cross country drive to the ferry if you are heading that way. An easy walk to the city centre to find food and drink. The nice thing about Vitoria is that there always seems to be something going on, I've never had a dull stay here. Yet the hotel is just far enough away from the centre to avoid any real noise. top of our recommendation list and if you book direct with the hotel you will probably get a better price than using an agent. We also received complimentary drink apiece from the hotel for not using an agent. Win/win :-) Excellent breakfast. Excellent staff. I agree with another reviewer that getting food could be an issue at night.
"Just about ok"
A conveniently sited hotel just a few minutes from town centre. Upon arrival i asked if reception could arrange for my car to be parked and ever so nicely they gave me instructions as how to do it myself. We had a mini suite but while very nice this could better be described as large room. No hankies are provided anywhere in this hotel. Coffee stand for executive floor had 3 croissants each day. We ate these but they were never replaced and used crockery still there at midnight from that morning. Could be so much better with a little effort
"4 Star Hotel - No Food"
This hotel is listed as a 4 Star hotel. But, at 18:30 you can get nothing to eat. Only drink. The website says all day in the Cafe Bar ... but, no food until 20:30. If your desire is to eat before 20:00 ... this is NOT a hotel for you. Service is weak.
