"Good for Business"
Good business hotel, quite cheap but far away from the center of Madrid. Good restaurant, with kind waiters. Alternative bars and local restaurants are at 5 min walking from the hotel. Except this, there is nothing else in the surrounding areas. 20 min driving from the airport..
"Very good hotel for this price !"
The hotel is price -quality a very good hotel . The breakfast was very good ,huge choice of fruit ,cookies ,but the eggs can be warmer .Very good coffee also . The service at the breakfast ,rest and bar in the lobby are excellent . The beds are too hard for me and i think the mattresses in 309 where too old . For the rest ,the rooms are beautiful and clean . The only thing ,the carpets in the hallways at 3th etage are totally damaged an has to be renewed because the first look when you go to your room , i find it must be perfect ! Thanks for everything you have done for us ,also the shuttle service is perfect!!!
"This is probably one of the worst hotels in Madrid"
I'm not sure where some of these 4 and 5 stars are coming from. Are you people sure you stayed at the Silken Puerta Madrid and not the property because this place is the worst! I stayed here for 3 days and regretted every single day of my stay. Users are commenting that this place isn't tourist friendly...that is incorrect because this place isn't friendly AT ALLA whether you're a tourist, on a business trip, passing by or etc. The front desk staff are rude and act as if asking a simple question such as "where are the elevators located'" is a hassle. When asking about the shuttle service to and from the airport on Jan. 23 around 6:30 a.m. I'm met with more attitude and disconcertment as if I'm not even a guest at this hotel. There is a bus station that is located about 800 ft. from the hotel which is great to get around town in. The ONLY positive about this place is the housekeeping staff. They are amazing and friendly and they really should trade places with the front desk. I come back to Madrid again next month and please do yourself a favor and do what I'm doing...go to a different hotel. This place really made my stay in Madrid awful and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone in my travel group. Hotels are considered part of the hospitality business for a reason, I think Silken Puerta Madrid forgot this. I will be staying the Crown Plaza next month with about 7 other guests. This hotel won't receive an ounce of our group's money.
"Very nice hotel"
Nice and confortable hotel. Far from the touristic areas what for me it is a deal. The room is spacious and the bathroom has a nice bathtub. It is near from the airport and there is shuttle to drive you there.
"Amazing cloud terrace"
Each room is decorated in another way, which is quite impressive. But the best thing of this hotel is the roof terrace, with an amazing view over the city. Not very central located, but good connections .
