"Ok for an accommodation "
I've stayed here for 3 nights on a business visit. It's my 3rd time here but haven't had the time to review it till now. This is a typical classic hotel: with average rooms, breakfast buffet and ordinary ambiance. I got that feeling of "I'm not sure if I hate it or love it" but it was pretty close to my office. The Internet connection is a nightmare. You have to open your browser and just type in the instructions the reception gave you each time you come into the hotel/room. Otherwise, I had a good double room, clean and tidy, big bathroom with both bathtub and shower in. Breakfast was pretty good but lacked the vegetables. Fruit salad and fresh fruits were very good. Also, been here late June and, unfortunately there isn't any pool, indoor or outdoor. I would recommend it if you are not too precious about where you'll end up sleeping.
"Good 4 stars outside the city"
I chose this hotel because I booked one day before my stay and it was the best price vs quality. Before my flight I booked my free transfer from Airport to the Hotel and it arrived on time. The Hotel is located more a less at the same distance between the Airport and the city center, near an office area. The room had a decent size and good amenities. The only negative thing was the window: It was cracked. The breakfast have also good products. The hotel had a free transfer from the Hotel to the City Center but everytime I tried to book it was full. There are also a public bus outside the hotel. Is frenquency is like 10 minutes and take 35 min to get to Cibeles Square. The only thing the hotel need to improve I think is the frequency of the transfers because I caught the transfer at 3pm and my flight time was at 8pm and they didn't had any other shuttle.
"Nice Design, average location, poor Gym & pool"
It is a nice design hotel with different designs on each floor, great. The restaurants and bars are great, too. Gym and pool were very disappointing - the expectations were much higher. The hotel is next to Cartagena metro station, which is between center and airport. In both cases one must change trains - at least once.
"Nice hotel close to the airport"
I stayed at Silken Puerta de Madrid for 2 nights during my layover in Madrid. One of the reasons for booking the hotel was that it offered free shuttle service to the airport and my continuing flight was going to be at 8am. However, do keep in mind that the hotel doesn't offer the shuttle service 24/7. The hotel didn't have a shuttle as early as I needed to leave but luckily my flight was delayed and I managed to catch a later shuttle. In case you need to catch a taxi the fee is around 25-30 euros even though the hotel is very close to the airport. Otherwise I had a nice stay. The room was very spacious and clean and the reception staff were helpful. It was very easy to commute to the center of Madrid by taking a bus just around the corner from the hotel. Wifi was included in the price.
"Very good hotel"
Large and comfortable rooms with big bathroom. Very good breakfast buffet with variety of hot dishes, bread and hams. Staff is very friendly. The hotel is not near the town but there is a bus station near.
