The Westin San Diego Hotel is centrally located in the heart of downtown near the city's major attractions. The San Diego Convention Center, Seaport Village, Little Italy, historical Gaslamp Quarter, SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo, and a variety of shopping and dining options surround the hotel and are easily accessible. The hotel is a quick walk to the San Diego Trolley and Amtrak station, and a short drive from the San Diego International Airport and all major freeways
I found the staff excellent and very helpful. The hotel is very attractive the rooms are spacious and well furnished. Parking is easy for a city centre hotel. There is a good restaurant with the hotel in addition there is a good selection of restaurants close by.
"Great city, Superb location, comfortable hotel"
First visit to Zaragosa, and very impressed with city and this hotel just outside the historic district and near main Plaza Espana, so walking distance to most historic sites, restaurants,Tapas Bars (not a big fan of Tapas but key area for that is also walking distance). The hotel is in an old historic building but renovated so rooms are spacious, comfortable and well arranged. Hotel Staff friendly, all competent in English, and helpful with suggestions on places to visit and to eat. We found two exellent restaurants (La Scala and La Buganvilla) by chance, but if you seek a good sit-down meal in a place frequented mainly by locals, try either. But make a reservation for lunch first as the places are packed at lunch time. Our routine was big buffet breakfast at hotel then late lunch (3 PM or after) and very light snack and coffee (or tapas) in evening. Not big on bars, but the choice seemed vast, especially in historic areas. Do not miss the Palacio Aljaferia, originally the Muslim palace that retained much of the Islamic influence even after the Reconquista; a bit away from historic town, so either taxi or bus to get there though a pleasant walk back (25 minutes). Home of Catherine of Aragon before marrying Arthur and then Henry Tudor, so full of history and very picturesque with both Muslim and Chrstian influences before the Inquisition put end to that. Certainly rivals Seville, cordoba & Granada. Also must see: Zaragoza Museum, Plaza del Pilar, Basicila of Our Lady of the Pillar & so much more. You need at least one (very) full day to see everything worthwhile (we spent two nights and one full day) and to see the city at night with all the lights. Everything was within walking distance. Also if traveling by car, their garage associated with the hotel has direct access, and fairly reasonable rates (15 Euros per night) for guests considering downtown location.
Perfect location, helpful staff, clean and does what it should. Little noisy as our room was above a function marquee but we were so tired didn't bother us. car park was necessary fir us and they had one, would stay again, breakfast good
Overall this was a very nice hotel with a modern style. It is located just at the edge of the city centre with a 5 minute walk to the central cathedral. The room was decent size and very clean. Only downside was the intermittent wifi. The breakfast was very good with a large selection but quite expensive.
"Clean, well maintained, central hotel "
I have been at this hotel a few times only for one night. This time I stayed for 3 nights. Staff efficient and friendly. Reception area very smart. A good start. Room was clean and serviceable. Did not like the single beds put together. Looked like a double bit was not. Prefer to spread out in a double. Breakfast was good. Good variety of choice from hot food to fruit and various breads and cakes. Really very central to everything. Easy to hail a taxi outside the hotel entrance. If the taxi is showing a green light it's available. If you are travelling via the train leave at least 60 minutes to get there especially in the morning. Zaragossa is a very nice city by the way. In the evening families are out walking together. It seems and feels very safe.
