"Comfortable stay in a terrific, central location"
I spent five nights at the Skt. Petri while in town for a conference. My room, 732, was not large, but it was perfectly fine for just me. A desk (and reliable, free wireless) for doing work, a comfortable chair for sitting in, plenty of light from the windows, a comfortable bed, a roomy bathroom with a deep tub - my room may have been somewhat modest, but it was entirely comfortable. A good stay starts with service, and I found the welcome at the front desk to be cheerful and friendly. The woman who checked me in (I am sorry to have forgotten her name) gave me advice on what was going on in the city and made me feel at home. The restaurant staff was similarly friendly, and I enjoyed my breakfasts there as well as two dinners. The breakfasts, by the way, are well worth the cost of the add-on. I had to have one breakfast at the conference hotel, and though it, too, offered a buffet, the breakfast selection at the Skt. Petri was outstanding. Hot and cold items - make your own waffles! The food at dinner was fine as well. It's not in the same class as the excellent restaurants in the city, but it was interesting and well-prepared. Good cocktails, too! The best thing about the hotel, though, is its location. A short walk to Norreport to catch various forms of transit. Easy walking to so many of the sights of Copenhagen, even in the grey weather I experienced. I bought a three-day train pass when I arrived at the airport but found I didn't need it for one full day because I could see so much on foot. One caveat: the gym is very small. It's a good hotel in a terrific location. I would strongly consider it were I to make a return trip to the city.
"Nice place in a great location"
Can't beat Skt. Petri's location. Right in the heart of Copenhagen near Norreport Station, while not ideal for neighborhood 'feel' it's easy to get wherever you need to go and can walk to many places. It's Copenhagen so even the 'central' location is pretty pleasant. This isn't Times Square by any means. The hotel itself is well done with a very nice and spacious lobby and outdoor space next to it. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed although some parts of it could use a little refresh. For a hotel that is in the Design Hotels portfolio it could exhibit a bit more 'design' in the rooms. There isn't very much cutting edge design here in the standard rooms. Staff is friendly and always willing to help out. Overall I can absolutely recommend Skt. Petri if you're looking for a very nice hotel that is centrally located in Copenhagen. An excellent base for exploring this wonderful city. Great value as well. Thumbs up.
"Stylish hotel in central location"
The hotel is at the edge of the pedestrianised centre, close to heaps of restaurants and in walking distance from the Norreport station. It is in a converted building, with an unusual entrance and reception / dining area. Staff is friendly and efficient, efficient check-in and check-out. Rooms are stylish and recently refurbished; good beds, slept like a baby. Breakfast choice a bit limited for the price range, but offer fresh waffles; quality of the food that was available was good.
"Great location and staff"
Pros: staff, location, comfort, gym, bike rental. Cons: gym could be bigger, breakfast more varied (porridge, fresher unconcentrated juices). The basic rooms I believe face the interior of the building, ie hotel reception so worth considering when booking.
"Great visit to Copenhagen. Just a quick weekend on our way to Paris."
We checked into the Skt Petri Hotel right at 2:00 PM on a fall Friday afternoon. As you approach the idyllic street where the hotel is located you can see a several rows of cruiser bicycles with baskets. As we walked into the front reception we were greeted by the bell staff who were very engaging and friendly. Most Danes speak impeccable english so we were instantly at ease. Beautiful light and bright lobby staff greeted us with a complimentary glass of sparkling water or Champagne, (coffee too). The front lobby staff was very helpful. We requested a family room which is very common in Europe and although it was only confirmed upon my email asking for the specific layout of the room it was ultimately perfect, newly remodeled and very clean. The room interior was warm and inviting with hardwood floors updated bathroom with separate lavatory accessible for the general room. For a group of travelers, this room could use additional mirrors, hangers and more light in the entry. ( all important as we had dinner plans with old friends that night) needed to get cleaned up and prepared at the same time. There was room but not adequate lights or mirrors. Bedding and towels were ample and high quality with 300 thread count sheets and extra pillows and blankets. Staff came by after we left for dinner to make up the extra pull out bed. This was a great stay, we will be back!
