Great hotel, perfect locationComment of A. David , United Kingdom the 2014-06-25
Hotel is good, well located and have very comfortable beds. But the price for a room is way too much. The hotel does not have their own parking space, but there was a general one right under the hotel that worked fine. But the price for the parking was PZN 120 per night. Too expensive. A five star hotel should have negotiated better price for their guests. Breakfast was good and fitness room OK. I will probably pick another hotel next time that give more value for money.
"Romantic weekend in the capital of Lower Silesia"
The main reasons for awarding 3 stars are the following 1- the hotel is billed as 5 star..which i think is way too exaggerated. ..there is no swimming pool(just a jacuzzi ) 2-small TV by today's standards 3-no premium sports channels available unlike even 4 star hotels 4-broken shower head 5-soul less atmosphere The good bits 1- good location 2-very kind and very friendly staff(can't comment on their English as I speak Polish) 3-comfortable room
As expected this was a fantastic hotel. I love the Sofitel chain. The service is fantastic, the rooms are very comfortable and clean. The reception area is re;axing and very welcoming. The location is brilliant and I would recommend staying at this hotel.
"Deserves a higher ranking"
What can I say about the Sofitel Wroclaw Old Town. The warmth of the welcome from the staff on Reception and the Concierge, who tried to help me set up my iPhone with a local T Mobile SIM card was top notch. My room was a suite on the 6th floor and spotlessly clean and all the right things were in the right places, outlets, lighting etc. The hotel also allows dogs, which is lovely as I had a visit from a long lost relative with her pet pooch. Breakfast was lovely, hassle free and relaxing (most welcome after my nightmare 24 hours earlier at the Frankfurt Intercontinental - see previous review). The hotel is situated on the cusp of the old town, literally a 200m walk to historic buildings, monuments and churches. If the hotel GM reads this review, give every single one of your staff a pat on the back and one for yourself while you're at it. You're staff are highly trained, efficient and all done with a smile on their faces. I will, without of a shadow of a doubt return to Wroclaw, and I won't even bother looking at other hotels, comparing prices and who is Number 1 on Tripadvisor - I travel a lot with both work and pleasure, and you Sofitel Wroclaw Old Town are "Simply the Best" P.S. Maybe some gentle music on each floor's corridor wouldn't be amiss :)
I stayed in this hotel one week. It was perfect. Clean and silent room, nice staff. Centrally located. (However semi "red light district" in the surroundings.) Great breakfast buffet - and I discovered that it could be brought to my room without any additional charge!
