"Good Facilities let down by Restaurant"
We had a late change to this Hotel. Arrived late from Moscow at 8.30pm and although Buffet was available for us it was at best luke warm and with limited choice. It did improve but I just thought the rang of choice for dinner particularly was below standard The Room allocated was on the top 8th floor with good views and being upgraded we had a junior suite. It was comfortable and clean but let down by not being serviced on one of the 4 days we were there. Overall as the title suggests I would say "Could do better" and a shame
Helpful staff, clean hotel and really comfortable i've stayed there 5 nights and i really enjoyed them, the breakfast was normal, the view was good and the location is good also kind of near to the subway station 10 mins walk o consider it as a good experience :)
"Not really a 4star hotel!"
Firstly I should say that I didn't book this hotel - it was part of my package tour to Russia. As a result one cannot have much idea of what to expect till arrival but I found this hotel to be well below the standard of the 4star Holiday Inn in Moscow, for example. My room on the 5th floor had no tea / coffee facilities, no temperature control and the iron didn't work. On my last evening, when I was out in the city, my room was entered, my suitcase was searched, as were the items in my bathroom. Actually this didn't matter since there was nothing in either place that could possibly be of interest to anyone but it wasn't a pleasant feeling. The restaurant area is quite simply horrid - very dark and there aren't nearly enough tables for the guests so that, particularly at breakfast time, people have to wander round for several minutes holding food or drinks looking for somewhere to sit. There is little fresh fruit and the placing of the cutlery and crockery is not logical: ie knives are not beside the breads, bowls are not with the cereals, and try to find a napkin! The lifts are strange and you can find yourself going up and down a few times before your reach the floor you requested. This wouldn't necessarily have bothered me except there are no stairs - only the ones reached via the alarmed doors for emergency only. On the good side, the bed was comfortable and there was quite good hanging and shelf space. A valuable piece of advice given to us was to leave our passports at the hotel receptions till our check out time. One of our party was robbed at the Saviour on the Spilled Blood church (yes, that's really its name!) but at least he hadn't lost his passport.
"Better than average as a group holiday package venue."
This hotel has much more quality and character than the expected venue for group package tourist clientele. The tastefully presented room are well equipped and very comfortable. Some have tea making facility and if not available on arrival this facility can be requested. The lifts are adequate for the density of use but can frustrate with waiting time at peak tour group transit periods. The 'sports' bar is comfortable BUT very expensive and with poor inattentive service. The evening buffets are very acceptable, with variety and fair presentation. The breakfast buffets are very good and offer a wide selection of unlimited options. The reception staff are helpful.
"Family hotel close enough to Centre "
Family hotel close enough to Centre and several metro lines. More eastern breakfast but this is where you are. Would go back here although we had 2 book 3 rooms for a family of 5. Extra beds not possible, let's see if we have to pay the tax of 200 rub per person a day
Credit cards accepted by the hotel: Visa - MasterCard
Check-in: 2:00 PM , Check-out: 12:00 PM
