"Nice Hotel, lovely view, food pretty good."
I was staying there as I was going to a wedding nearby,a beach hotel would not normally be my thing. The pool looked inviting though, a sensible one that you could swim in, and there was the beach anyway, if you wanted to swim in the sea. The setting, with its gardens and nature area made it a tranquil location, if not a little hot, even in November. The room was great, had everything I wanted within it, and a comfortable bed, which seems important these days. I only used the buffet restaurant, for one evening meal, and for two breakfasts, the breakfast stood out as excellent, the evening meal, I thought had less choice for a main course than I was expecting, but maybe it was just that day... But overall the food was good, and being a buffet, you could eat as much or as little as you wanted. I enjoyed my stay, but I was there for a specific reason, and so probably won't return to this hotel, if I was going to Abu Dhabi I'd probably stay a bit closer to town.
I am a St Regis fans and always love the brand. St Regis Saadiyat island is a beautiful property and the room is spacious and clean as well. The décor is like a hotel in Hawaii. it has that island feeling. it doesn't bother me but I can see how some people think it looks little dated. but the room is comfortable, the bed is comfortable. love the his and her sink. service in general is great. now the room I got was on the 7th floor and during the night I can hear people in the hallway a little loud. not sure if its the other guest or the hotel staff but it happened 3 nights in a row. this hotel cater to family so during the weekend or holiday it gets pretty busy so make sure to book your restaurant for dinner. the beach is clean and the service is great as well there. During our stay the waves were rough so can't really swim. plus a lot of shells by the water so when I tried to step inside the water it was a little difficult because I was afraid of hurting my feet. there is no way we can blame that to the hotel. so that's just an fyi. food cost pretty high and water is expensive as well. whole experience was great and would recommend this hotel to everyone.

"Nicestay while not so nice restaurant experience"
This was our 2nd visit to St.Regis Saadiyat island. Hotel is very nice and clean, rooms are beautfiul. We enjoyed, but Olea restaurant is lacking. Restaurant experience we had in OLEA restaurant was weird. We had dinner buffet and while eating clams we had a looong blong hair between clams ( disgusting ). We gave the plate for the waiter and he informed restaurant manager who came to our table. RESPONSE: He told us that sorry for the inconvenience, but in our kitchen we dont have anyone who has long blond hair so must be some of the guest who has dropped in the food while passing by, and then he left. That was so weird comment, basically blaming guests, not offer to make new clams for us....nothing. Anyways, we ate then outside, there is some places, like shakespeare cafe which is good for shisha as well.
