"Excellent as usual."
I've been a regular visitor to Liverpool for the last four years and whenever possible, I stay at the Staybride Suites. Why' There are many other good hotels in Liverpool but not so many apartments. If you are looking for just another hotel, you may possibly be disappointed; there's no restaurant, no bar, no room service and the rooms are a little different too. If however you've stayed in more hotels than is good for you, the Staybridge is refreshingly welcome. Think of a comfortable air conditioned hotel room with a good comfortable bed with quality linen, a well appointed bathroom, a decent TV and Wifi and a good sofa to enjoy them from. Now add a small but well equipped kitchen area with a dishwasher, refrigerator, hob and combi-oven and no longer are you constrained to having to eat out all the time. Believe me, the novelty soon wears off. If you don't fancy cooking, it's ideal for takeaways too. If you don't want to go shopping you can rustle up a very respectable meal from the small 24 hour shop at Reception. Now add the most important ingredient. The Staybridge is run by some of the nicest and best staff I've ever encountered. In my experience they all take a genuine interest in the well being and comfort of their guests. Each time I go back there, it's always a pleasure to meet them again. The complimentary snacks on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings should not be missed, partly because it's good to meet other guests; it's certainly a novelty to pull your own pint and because it's an opportunity to speak candidly with the manager and his staff. You don't get to do that at your average chain hotel! Since I first started staying at the Staybridge, there have been a few changes; the quality and variety of the breakfast has improved considerably. The Wifi is now faster and much more stable and the TV system is now easier to use and offers more choice. There are other improvements in the pipeline too. The Staybridge enjoys a good location on Albert Dock and Liverpool One is a ten minute walk away. There are some good views from some of the upper rooms. The is some car parking on-site but it's subject to availability and can be a little tight. However it's next door to a large multi-storey car park which may be easier to get into. Should anything not work properly in the room, you are encouraged to report it. They have a small but very efficient maintenance team who will sort it out promptly. One one occasion I reported a fault with the built-in fridge; a couple of hours later it had been replaced! There is a well equipped laundry room which we've made good use of and a small gym which we haven't! I've almost always stayed on business but it would be a very good base for a leisure break. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Maybe I'll see you there'
Great location on wharf of Mersey River. Staff friendly and helpful. Bethany, Dani, and Guillermo have been cheerful and helpful over first 5 days of 9 day visit. Near shopping, tour bus, 100 feet from convention center. 1 mi to cathedrals. Evening social great fun to meet others with free beer, wine, and snacks. Suite is cleaned each day and in room wifi working great for work and video. Deluxe coffee machine in lobby 24/7 with bean grinder. Great place for conference or visit with wharf shops and food outside the door a block away.
"Fab stay in great location and impressive accommodation"
Ive stayed in many holiday inn hotels but never at a staybridge suite so wasn't sure what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised. Family visit (wife + 8 year old daughter) to liverpool to visit our other daughter at University of Liverpool we stayed here for 2 nights. Location is great at the Albert docks with views of the wheel, arena and docks. 10 mins walk to Liverpool 1 shopping and the universities. Rooms are much bigger than the usual hotel with a kitchenette, small lounge, desk space and separate bedroom. So plenty of space if you want to be in the room longer. Breakfast is equivalent to the usual holiday inn hot and cold options so plenty of choice. Parking is in an underground car park so safe and secure and about £12 per 24hr. No restaurant but with Albert docs on the doorstep, no need as many to choose from. Overall an excellent faultless stay would recommend for business or pleasure.
Fantastic staff and a very clean comfortable suite. There is a small gym and laundrette free to customers. The breakfast was excellent too. Would definitely recommend and would be our choice of accommodation if we stay in the area again. Many thanks.
"Would stay here again"
The Staybridge Suites are ideally situated within minutes walk for the Echo arena, Liverpool wheel, Albert Dock & bus stops for tours. Our room, 602, and the view from it was wonderful. There is a very well equipped kitchenette with combi microwave, hob, fridge, dishwasher and all crockery, glassware, cutlery & utensils you could possibly need. The room is very comfortable with a breakfast bar, sofa, coffee table, tv & the bed very comfortable which was excellent for a good nights sleep after a busy day exploring all that Liverpool has to offer. The bathroom was furnished to a very high standard with large walk in shower, great vanity basin area and modern shelving & fixtures. There is a large mirrored double slide robe in the room with plenty of storage and which houses ironing board / mini safe. The room was spotless and created a real home from home feeling with its excellent facilities. The receptionists were pleasant and our check in/out very efficient. Our luggage was safely stored on the day we checked out and we collected it later the same day. There is a small 'shop' area located near the reception where you can buy from a selection of food/snacks/drinks/toiletries etc. Obviously you're buying from a hotel and they're a convenience so a little pricey, my husband bought 2 bottles of Newcastle Brown at £4.50 each. The breakfast which was included was amazing! There is literally everything you could possibly imagine or want. It is all set out like a large kitchen and there are plenty of tables all made for a very leisurely breakfast and started the day brilliantly. Sadly it was during breakfast that I dropped a point for our stay. There was a staff member working the breakfast who chatted with a guest whom she appeared familiar with and she talked to him in less than favourable terms about a family who were taking breakfast at the time. I also noted quite a number of occasions she operated the foot pedal bin by using her hand to lift the lid and not use the foot pedal and then moving clean crockery/glasses/food stuff without washing her hands. We would recommend the hotel to family/friends and would not hesitate to use again.
