"Lovely hotel right next to the train station"
This hotel is a really great hotel in Frankfurt. Downtown Frankfurt is about a 25 minute walk away but being right next to the main station, you can get the underground train to anywhere in the city really easily for very little money. In addition, there are a number of snack bars and restaurants very close to the hotel. Check in was fine and although the room was compact, it was perfect for my needs. The air-conditioning worked really well and the internet was very good. Breakfast in the morning was included and was amongst the best breakfasts I've ever had in a hotel. Overall it was a great stay and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. The only word of warning that I'd give to someone who hasn't been here is that one walking route to the city centre would take you through the red light district. It is a 5-10 minute walk away from the hotel and very easy to avoid as long as you know!
"A convenient and comfortable hotel"
Sure, it is not as luxurious as its sister Hotel the Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof. However it still does the trick. It is pleasant, centrally located next to the main train station. decor is sober but does not luck any amenity. This hotel is a very good choice for a business stay.
I've stayed here six times over the years: the fact that I've returned says something about the place. It's a great hotel: conveniently located for the Hauptbahnhof and the Messe and walking distance to much of the city. My room was spotlessly clean and furnished in a contemporary style. The staff were very friendly, especially the excellent bar man who has served me and colleagues countless times over the years. Very good indeed.
"A hidden gem at the Haupt bahnhof "
Excellent hotel, excellent receptionists very friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic room, wonderful and elegant breakfast. Specious room, I was upgraded to a quite double room. Location is not bad, as very close to the main railway station and to shopping areas.
Wasn't sure what to expect but I relied on the positive tripadvisor reviews. I was with four colleagues, all of us female, and we wanted convenience, comfort and safety. I wasn't disappointed although, in the interest of full disclosure, one of my colleagues experienced a couple of problems with her room. This is an older hotel but it's in pretty good shape. Check-in was smooth and the staff was friendly. My second floor room was surprisingly large for a European hotel. While it wasn't huge, it had ample space. The room had a safe, large closet, and a mini-bar that I did not use. The was no iron but there was a pants presser, although it didn't get all that hot. The bathroom was quite nice with bright lighting, a tub and small shower stall. I had great water pressure and lots of hot water. There were containers of shampoo, body wash and lotion but they were nothing special. The tv had a lot of stations in several languages but CNN and BBC were about the best offerings in English. Breakfast was good with an assortment of breads, meats, cereals and juices. It wasn't impressive when compared to a higher-end hotel but the food was good and plentiful. Eggs are cooked to order and were quite good. The bell captain was probably the most friendly person on staff and greeted us warmly when we returned from our office every evening. The young woman who maintained the common areas was also very warm. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel but tried several restaurants on Kaiserstrasse, a five minute walk from the hotel. The gym is simple but nice. The downsides are the slightly musty smell from the room carpet and the lack of an iron. The upsides are a great location mere steps (literally) from the train station, a pleasant staff and a comfortable, quiet room. I'll definitely return on my next trip to Frankfurt.
