"Best Staff Ever!!!!"
Ive stayed at a lot of hotels in the NY area for business but the Stewart Hotel definitely has the best staff and it's not even close. From the front desk to housekeeping I have never received better service from anywhere else in the city. Even met Kristal from HR in the lobby as she was greeting guests. She was so nice and gave me a great recommendation for a restaurant to take my GF. the Stewart is my top choice now for when I come back to the city!
If you believe in fairy tales, book this hotel. Otherwise stay away. No foto matches the true rooms. Nor do the rooms have the promised amenities. No table, no chairs, no toaster. Even though displayed. And promised. Older than the site may do believe you. Service is bad and promises not followed upon. If you like nursing rooms for elderly, visit their restaurant. It has the same atmosphere.
"weekend in NYC at the Stewart Hotel"
Andrew, at the front desk of the Stewart Hotel, was incredibly helpful and friendly. He definitely made us feel at home at the hotel and exceeded our expectations for taking care of all our needs. Our room was perfect for our needs, the elevators were prompt, free water, coffee, and a mini fridge was included, and we couldn't hear the street noise at all, which is unique for NYC!
Threw a surprise birthday party for my boyfriend with the help of Sywia Siver and Gabrielle Natale. They did an amazing job with organization,to negotiating &contract signing.Would highly recommend to have your next event here!
"Welcomed birthday suprise!"
First of all, I really loved the central location of this hotel. It was so easy to hop on the subway and get to every corner of the city, north or south. Our stay was really great. I called the hotel the morning of our arrival to confirm everything was good to go and inquired about an early check-in. The agent was pleasant on the phone, but explained to me that if there was a room available before noon, we could check-in; however there would be a $99 fee, so we decided we would forego even trying when we arrived at noon. But we wanted to drop off our bags until check-in. When we reached the front desk, the agent, who was so nice to us, immediately just proceeded to check us in, no questions asked. As she was taking our information, my partner jokingly indicated to my birthdate on my ID, and the agent immediately stopped what she was doing to wish me a happy birthday, and then started tapping away on the computer. To our surprise she upgrade or reassigned our room to a full suite with kitchenette, separate bedroom, living room, etc., and a private balcony! So it was March and way to cold to really enjoy it outside, but the gesture was really kind. The agent also gave us a complimentary bottle of wine to celebrate and sent us on our way. When we arrived in the room, it was everything mentioned above. The only slight complaint was that the room/hotel altogether does show its age, but it wasn't a deal breaker by any means. There were two slight maintenance issues, which we immediately notified the hotel about, a leaking water pipe connected to the toilet and one of the doors to the balcony wasn't latching. A maintenance person was sent while we were in the room and fixed both issues successfully, and there were no further problems. Aside from the age of the hotel and being able to hear through walls to the other room (I think in the washroom primarily), the rooms and hotel property were very clean. The cleaning staff were so accommodating and friendly and ensured we had everything we could possibly need. I would recommend staying at this hotel and would go back, as it was excellent service, the staff were so friendly and accommodating, and the location was ideal.
