"3 nights - conference stay"
We stayed at the Strand Tower Hotel for a three day conference - held at the hotel. Arriving, I was slightly seceptical - at first sight, a few things could have been a little tidier or / and also cleaner. I am writing this review to thank all the staff for the great job they did - a very friendly and also personal atmosphere. Everone went out of its normal job description and offered help whenever needed. This is especially valid for the porters in the lobby - one of the young and very pleasant young man, ran down the street to get me stamps for my postcards - I had not even asked for. The cooks at the buffet always with a pleasant and friendly word. The same is valid for the ladies making up the rooms. One special remark: when coming back to my room, to pick up something I had forgotten, the maid was just cleaning and the door open. When I entered, I was asked to identify myself! Great job! I know it is standard but still often not done. Congratulations. Thank you for making my stay memorable and I will for sure return to South Africa.

"Good Hotel with Nice location"
Stands tower is a centrally located hotel. It's a proper 4* hotel but it's lacking few things which must be provided. I stayed there for 3 night's. 1. Water bottle in room. 2. Shaving kit 3. Dental kit. 4. Toiletries like Body lotion and all . Breakfast spread was good but considering vegetarian there are very less options. So as to attract those guest please improve breakfast spread. Apart of that Rooms are clean and staff is very friendly and Helpful. Nice and clean hotel located centrally. I recommend this hotel . Regards , Sunil Gandhi
"Very convenient for start of our trip with Nomad"
Good downtown location, near banks, restaurants. They provide excellent service, (took our luggage to the Nomad office where our tour began. Great breakfast. You can book city tours of Cape town in the lobby. Rooms a bit dated but still OK.
"Convenient and comfortable hotel for tourists visiting the city"
We stayed at the Strand Tower Hotel in Cape Town for 5 nights at the end of February. The hotel is in the centre of the city and just about a walkable distance to V&A Waterfront. We were on a B&B basis but they did have a restaurant in the hotel which we did not try. We had a lovely welcome and the staff here were friendly and helpful. As we arrived way before checking-in time we were shown to the bar for a complimentary drink on arrival but did not have to wait long to be shown to our room. We were allocated Room 1010 on the 10th floor which looked over out towards Lion Head rather than Table Mountain. The hotel sits on a busy street intersection but the rooms on the 10th floor were reasonable quiet and no problems at nights. Our room was spacious (including a sitting area) and adequate but the décor was a bit tired and in need to a refurb. However, it was a very comfortable and clean room. Bathroom was small but adequate with a shower over the bath, nice thick bath towels, a few complimentary toiletries and hairdryer There was free Wi-Fi, air con, tea/coffee making facilities, mini fridge, room safe, TV but could not find BBC or CNN. They offer laundry facilities. There was a small outdoor pool, a gym and sauna. Breakfast offered a reasonable selection of hot and cold buffet with eggs cooked to order and again, the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was often a live pianist playing at breakfast time. There is parking on site but there is a daily charge. Taxis are easy to order at the hotel and cheap e.g. to the Waterfront was 50R The Hop-on-hop-off bus office and stop were a few minutes’ walk from the hotel and a few of the city’s main sites are within walking distance.
