"Reasonable Priced Hotel with Great Location"
This hotel is only a 5 minute walk to Wanfujing Ave which is where you will find all types of shopping ( from malls with big brands to a local street market). Although the rooms are not the most well appointed that I have stayed in they are no means the worst either. They could certainly do with an upgrade .Had a problem with our shower being blocked but was fixed immediately once we informed the front desk. The breakfast has plenty of variety with all groups catered for. Very reasonable hotel for the price we payed.
I am very frustrated with the ridiculously slow wifi network n this hotel and am writing this review from a coffee shop down the road. If wifi is important to you then don't stay here,it has clouded my judgement somewhat as I would have scored higher if the wifi was acceptable . Here is a more balanced view of the positives and negatives. Plus Large room comfy bed. Breakfast a mixture of western and Chinese so should be able to find something you like. Free polishing shoe service Staff sort things out once/if they understand you. Minus Dated hotel with an unpleasant smell in reception although room ok Designed. Before western tourism has taken off hence if you like a bath, ok if you are under 150cm tall and you have to bend down to take a shower. Wifi worse than a third world country was even better at the airport Staff do not speak or understand English,at the gym I was asked to speak into a phone where she had a translation app which didn't translate what I said correctly and made the communication even worse.
"Good location, comfortable"
We stayed there for 4 nights during our trip to China in September 2016 the hotel is in a Very good location (near the night market and modern shopping area. The room was clean and big enough. to bad that the minibar didn't keep drinks cold. the staff was helpful even though their English was very poor Nice breakfast. as vegetarians we found plenty to eat. the staff was helpful even though their English was very poor
Hotel is nice enough. Needs a little work...chipboard damage in drawers etc. Easy enough to walk to a number of places. Ensure you ask reception to ring a taxi. Do not assume guys in suits in driveway are like doormen or you will be ripped off by car hire drivers. Breakfast has quite a selection but the food is all luke warm. As others mentioned room has insufficent tables for the number of guests. Rooms quite reasonable. Ensure you have any instructions you may need already translated. Recptionist staff try but have limited english.
"Fine hotel, good location"
Stayed here on a recent tour of China. The first surprise was a demand for 1000 Yuan deposit. It seems that this is standard throughout China. The public areas were clean, though the carpet in the corridor and in our room could do with cleaning / replacing. The staff were helpful. The breakfast was adequate. Nice large walk in shower in the room, which was a tad snug, but fine for a couple of nights. All in all, fit for purpose.
