"Spacious room, great location"
This hotel is located right above the oasaka nankai station making it convenient to travel to and from. The famous Dotonbori is only 200m away. You can pretty much see it once you walk out of the hotel. We got a free upgrade of our room on arrival which was a pleasant surprise. The room itself was very spacious and the view outside the window was magnificent. We also made good use of their free swimming pool and jacuzzi which was were clean. Highly recommended.
"great location, super staff"
Sitting right on top of the Namba Station and in the middle of the Namba shopping and eating district. Hotel room had unobstructed views of the city. The room itself is showing signs of aging with really old furniture, carpet fading and some stains in the shower grouts. Best is the service, with multilingual staff (very cosmopolitan mix of clientele) available, and very knowledgable to provide directons, recommendations to restaurants etc. Best was the Takashimaya shopping mall right in the lower floors of the property. Could spend an entire, enjoyable day on property.
"Nicely situated hotel"
Couldn't have asked for a better location in my opinion. Got off the plane at KIX and took one subway to Nankai and the hotel is located right above the train station. There are a lot of shopping areas located around the hotel within walking distance and there are also a decent amount of restaurants to choose from. Trains to Kyoto can be picked up from a nearby station. The rooms themselves are nice and well furnished. We enjoyed our stay and hope to come back.
"Swiss Hospitality in Japan"
If you are headed for Osaka for a vacation, the best hotel to stay in is at the Swissotel in Nankai. It is situated on top of the Namba Train Station - a central station the connects trains to a majority of the cities in Japan. As soon as you get off the train from the airport, just walk a bit and you will find the elevator that takes you straight to the hotel lobby. The hotel is clean although the beds are lower than normal so a six-footer might have a little difficulty getting into bed. The bathroom is to die for - with heated toilet seats and all the washing contraptions. The pressure of the shower is so strong and made me take longer showers. The amenities are complete and great. The lobby is pleasingly inviting. The staff are pleasant , always smiling and ready to assist you with all your needs. And most of all it is centrally located and easily accessible to the many food stalls and restaurants as well as the shopping district. When you have too many parcels to carry, just dash back to the hotel to leave them and continue with your shopping. During our six day stay we never had to use a taxi. I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel on my subsequent trips to Osaka, if any, and would highly recommend it to my friends and other travellers.
"no longer a good choice for me"
very convenient place but the place needs further refinement in terms of hygiene, staff training and room amenities. Staff was not very helpful but only superficial. Lack of sleeping robes in room. Filthy armchair in room and I can see the spots on the fabric.
