"A wonderful stay"
The hotel is a modern building in the Northern part of the city, where daily and business.life takes place. You are 15/20 minutes away from the historical important part of the city where all baroque churches, the Presidential Palace and the Museums are. The hotel offers all modern conveniences a Spa, a Gym a d swimming pool. The sight of the Cotopaxi volcano from the elevator is awesome. The hotel has nearby nice restaurants. It has also some good restaurants, we tried Tamagotchi and were not disappointed, it was deliciou. The whole staff is well trained and always helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay.
""Swiss hotel" with not-so Swiss standards"
Terrible customer customer service, placed in a room where we could hear the exact songs from the parties that went on in their ballrooms until 2am. Hotel was completely unresponsive. Most of the staff was unprofessional - we got a call to our room asking us to come down to pay for a spa fee an hour earlier before closure as they wanted to go home for the day. We felt rushed and it did not provide the relaxing, smooth stay that a five star hotel should provide. Bathrooms are in desperate need of update. Chipped, stained tubs.
"Good for a quick stay"
Our room, 704, had a good view over Quito, and out to one of the volcanoes. The room was a good size (for 2 people to unpack), and had a spacious bathroom. Some of the bathroom fittings looked tired. We stayed here as it was the start hotel for Trencrucero. It's not a downtown hotel, and its position in a suburban are seemed a little isolated . You didn't really feel that you like to walk around and explore the area. Th staff were friendly, and generally excellent. Buffet breakfast excellent too.
"Lovely modern hotel"
Stayed here for one night, plus an evening before a red-eye flight. The hotel was clean and very American in that the rooms were big, there were several outlets for charging phones, shower toiletries were provided, etc. The staff were very friendly and most if not all spoke great English. Siegfried in particular was extremely welcoming and made us feel right at home after our overnight flight. We had a free day before a tour began, and he was very helpful when we were planning our day and figuring out what we wanted to see while taking into account the weather forecast. I would be happy to stay here again.
"Nice Hotel--boring neighborhood"
We stayed at the hotel prior to our Amazon Basin cruise with Un-Cruise. (Amazing!!!) The hotel is at the north end of town, which makes it more convenient to get to the airport. There are restaurants in the hotel, a supermarket about a block away, and quite a few restaurants on the street behind. There is a nice spa, indoor/outdoor swimming pool and the breakfast buffet (included) is excellent. It is quite a hefty and not particularly interesting walk to the historic downtown area and I would recommend taking a taxi.
