"Poor Complain Service Responce"
This is my first time stayed at this hotel, the price and the service is not equal. So pity, they have a very good location and great view but the service response is poor and facilities is too old. They have a high occupancy that not consider customer complain. I have requested for the King Size Bed few weeks before I checked in but unfortunately they can't provide. try to get Double Bed room on the next day but the layout is really unacceptable. They put me on the corner of nonstandard layout and very bad position to watching the TV. The room really is not acceptable for a 4-5 star hotel. Has been complained 3 times but no response until I really fed up then finally they changed me to new room after 30 minutes.
"Excellent facility with exceptional location"
Whilst a business trip my wife and I used the opportunity as a mini getaway. Singapore is a great city and The Stamford just made our stay there that much more enjoyable. We stayed in a Executive Suite with Club access daily and would highly recommend this package. I have a two week trip in June for work and a little disappointed to find out there seems to be no rooms available all those other lucky people will enjoy them. Excellent place and would highly recommend it to all travelers.
We have just returned from Singapore. Had the use of this hotel for a day room. The reception staff were really pleasant and welcoming and answered ant questions efficiently and quickly. We had a good sized room An the .17th floo. This was a lovely sized room with a balcony, lovely views, clean and very up to date. Bathroom even had a bath as well as a shower. Would defiantly stay here again
"Have already booked to return"
We stayed in this hotel 4 months ago, and we were quite impressed. 1. Location - right next to MRT station (city hall), Raffles plaza mall with food court, walking distance to Suntec, slightly further walk to both Bugis and Clarke Quay 2. Facilities - Nice pools (shared with Fairmont hotel) and there is a tennis court you can hire, plus gym 3. room - spacious, not very new but clean, TWG tea available. The only drawback is that the bar fridge has automatic sensors, so there wasnt any space for us to put our own food in (like the cake we bought at the bakery downstairs). This was really disappointing as we like to buy own own food and milk (we are lactose intolerant), but the comments of previous guests that anything moved in the bar fridge would automatically be charged made me scared to touch it. If there is an option to empty the bar fridge it would be good, but it wasnt brought up during our stay. 4. Food - had breakfast at the western restaurant (forgot the name, can be accessed from the mall) and it was good, usual food but good spread. There was a longer queue at the Kopitiam, but when we asked the girl at the entrance, she said food is basically the same for breakfast, so we didnt go there. 5. Lifts - a little confusing, you have to go to the ones that are further from reception. Also a bit slow. The chinese lady cleaning near the lifts always give us a smile. Despite the bar fridge, we would still come back here, in fact I just booked again to stay in April.
"Good views and staff, but not fully 5 star."
The hotel is strategically located, with excellent views of Singapur Marina Bay and next to Chimes and in walking distance from Clark Quay and the Suntec Convention Hall. Regretfully the rooms are not up to 5 star hotel standard, they are in need of urgent renovation. Especially the bed!!! It was sleeping on a block of granite. It was apparently not only my bedroom as my colleagues had the same complain. The BF rooms was also something that should be revised as everyday there was a waiting line and on different hours. The BF quality was very good. Staff also very helpful.
