"If this the ghetto I never leaving"
Great hotel staff was very friendly love that was across street from the train station can't wait to visit with children next time. But probably won't stay there next time want to be more closer to the country so probably will stay in Lucerne but if staying in zurich this will be the ideal spot
We loved the hotels position and the price although we did come across a few problems in the upkeep of the room. Staff were fairly willing to help .. The problems were fixable ie mould on bathroom tiles, broken bin peddle and broken kettle. The floor had not been vacuumed too well because we both cut our feet on tiny shards of broken glass. We are waiting for a response from hotel regarding these matters ... We do think they care about their customers and just need to have staff take a little more care. The broken things weren't a bother but the broken glass did concern us a little. Who wants to wear shoes in the bedroom' Their response to our comments will be the deciding factor with regards to whether we will use Swissotel again.
"Still the one!"
I stayed here 20 years ago and had a marvelous experience. I'm back now and find it completely remodeled and a chic gem with even more amenities than when I left it last. It's right next to a train station that is being completely remodeled and there is lots of shopping in the area - particularly across the street. But it's the ambiance and the terrific staff that really captured my attention. It was like coming home again. Everyone was so warm.
"Great city hotel"
Near the airport. All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful-- especially Sri in the breakfast room each morning. Very attentive. There is a Starbucks in the lobbe, and the hotel is right across the street from the train station making trips to the city center very convenient.
We had booked a standard room but when we arrived, they upgraded us to a better room, for free. We were traveling as a family and had requested inter-connecting rooms but unfortunately, the connecting door was locked and no matter what they did, the door would not open. They even brought up the security man but he couldn't open it either. Normally, this would have been a disadvantage and a bad experience but instead, they gave us another free upgrade to an even better room! I later checked the price and it was two times what we had paid for. An impressive act Which we did not expect and was very hospitable of them. Breakfast: Though a little expensive, breakfast was the best and most extensive we've ever had in a hotel. We stayed in two more hotels (in Barcelona) for the rest of our trip but compared to this, they were disappointing. Is this a standard in Switzerland for hotels to have such great breakfasts' Also, the pool on the 32nd floor offers magnificant views of Zurich. Worth a try. (One little fact: they have an amazing lift, it only takes 25 second to reach the pool from ground floor.) The rooms are not very big but they are nice with big windows and the beds are very comfortable. Shower is fine, too. Our room came with bathrobe and slippers. Plus, they have a beautiful and nicely decorated lobby which is great for spending time in. Expect us, we'll come back!
