"Excellent in a crunch"
Arrived at the hotel at midnight only to find out no booking existed in my name and the hotel was fully booked. The staff (Lisa especially) then spent 30 minutes helping me find a nearby hotel but none were available that evening (within a 30km radius of the city and within a comparable price point). The team then offered me an innovative solution that allowed me to sleep comfortably and continue with my journey the next day.. Thank you Swissohotel - that night I experienced true Swiss hospitality
"Pretty average and typical business hotel"
There is nothing exceptional about this hotel either positively or negatively. The location is convenient to the airport and to downtown, although you must take transportation to get to either. The area around the hotel has nothing of particular interest, so if you want to see anything, you need to take a tram. Th service was helpful but not overly friendly. The rooms were fine, although slightly worn, and the bathrooms are quite small.
"Perfect location, perfect service"
The hotel is ideally located: Very close to the city centre as well as the airport. Very convenient. In addition, the mattress sleep you get is of very high qaulity (super comfy beds) and the service is outstanding.
"Very good, but could improve"
Very nice hotel. Rooms are good but bathroom is extremely small (I don't know why some architects undervalue hotel bathrooms). Indeed, lamp on the top of the sink is so hot that most times I had to brush my teeth on the dark. And the bathroom door is made of glass, what is not a problem for a single user, but may not br comfortable for a couple. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Wi-fi is not free, but has a strong signal. View is good and there are good places to have lunch or dinner, a supermarket, and pharmacies nearby (prices are high though, as in entire Switzerland). I didn't try the swimming pool nor the gym. Because of the jet lag, I haven't had breakfast during my stay.
"Wow. Just WOW."
This hotel is situated 5 minutes from the city centre of Zurich (easy accessible by train). There are some small shops and eateries nearby, a supermarket and a nice little town square behind the hotel (great place to meet locals and play some giant chess!). The hotel itself was very accommodating, immediately when we stepped through the doors, we were welcomed and shown to our room. We were upgraded for our short stay, but holy moly. What an upgrade. Almost 360 views, beautiful modern design and an open feel. You have to book this room and experience it! Above that, the facilities were excellent. The in hotel restaurant had some lovely treats (expensive though). The pool and spa were amazing! (Infinity pool with great views of the Swiss Alps! An amazing stay, I would definitely recommend Swissotel Zurich to everyone!
