Great place to stay. Definitely will stay here again. But the review thingy wants too many words so I don't think that this is going to work out. Then again,if I type just a few more characters maybe it will. Let's see if that's enough...
"Review of the Hotel."
The facility was clean and comfortable. The staff were professional, helpful, and courteous. The staff took time to explain the transportation to the center of the city and were especially helpful to a foreigner.
"Well located and comfortable "
The hotel is easy to access just in front of the Oerlikon train station and with regular connections to Zürich airport and main train stations. Rooms are also well designed and very comfortable with panoramic views. Small area of improvement: scrambled eggs of the breakfast buffet were clearly over cooked.
"Ageeing but excellent business hotel"
Located a stone throw from Oerlikon train station, its a 8 mns train ride from the airport and 15 mns from the city center by train. If you need a hotel in Zurich this might not be your best choice as it is in Oerlikon, a bit far away from Zurich center, unless you get a better deal here and dotn mind the commuting hassle. The lobby is well refreshed and service is top nothc at the reception when you do either check in or your check out. Got a corner room, perfectly quiet, well set for the night with an amazing view on 180 degrees of the city (Oerlikon). However you can feel that the rooms are aged, even though the cleanliness is at the swiss standard, the bathroom sink was cracked, no biggie it was not dripping but still not class neither for a 4 stars at 180 Euros a night. Breakfast is good, though the service a bit agressive, after I walked in the Muh restaurant, without being greeted at the door and looking to sit somewhere, I asked a waiter which table was free to accommodate me, he start asking me what type of customer was I, a walk in or a full buffet or ... I told him I was a guest to which he asked me even further questions, wow, Police is definitely everywhere in Zurich ! Management, he should ask for my name and room number, not what type of breakfast plan I was subscribing, this is a hotel not a Chinese buffet restaurant ! Beside this dull breakfast experience the rest was rather excellent for a business hotel stay. Internet was free and worked well, which I would have feared due to ;y room position, but no issue at all. But due to the hotel ageing rooms cannot go above 4*, luckily the rooms are really clean and quiet, hence a good 4* without hesitation
