I stayed at the hotel for a week. The room was nice and clean, although the view left a lot to be desired. The food was great. We held workshop there and they did an amazing job in terms of setting up the room and providing IT service. The event management team led by Cathy Boco were of tremendous help in ensuring the success of our event. The service could use some improvement, the reception staff, although very nice, were a bit slow on the uptake. I asked for an iron and had to call back twice and finally go to the reception myself.
"Creme De La Creme"
If you are planning to visit dakar on tourism or Business then lodging at Terrou-Bi is the best choice. A 5 Stars hotel with great food and several choices of restaurants, a good bar with an outside seating recommended for might. A great beach front and pool. Simply you can spend a quality time at Terrou-Bi. The best in Dakar
"Disappointing first impression"
I have been at Terrou-Bi for less than an hour and it is already leaving a lot to be desired. Our company is hosting 2 events at the hotel and all our staff will be staying here to make logistics simpler (we check out late next week). Upon arrival at the hotel, check-in was bumpy. My colleague and I were told that our rooms had been reserved but the payment had not been made, so I gave my credit card to enable us to stay for the night. After securing our check-in, I specifically asked the front desk attendant if I had a good room, to which I was assured I did. Once at my room (#122), I found it was located right next to the noisy restaurant. I went back to the reception to request an alternative room and was told that it was the only available room. The lady was non-chalant in her attitude, saying I either take the room or wait until perhaps another one becomes vacant and cleaned. After a phone call, she casually told me one would be available in an hour. I am currently sitting on the terrace waiting...I understand that rooms get occupied, but as a customer, I do not understand when staff from the front desk behave like they are doing you a favour by being polite or offering alternative solutions. This has left an extremely bad taste in my mouth where your front desk customer service is concerned. Very unfortunate as Dakar seems like a lovely city and Terrou-Bi looks like an otherwise pleasant hotel. In their defense, the luggage porters were extremely polite. The Radisson Blu will receive our business next time around.
I travelled on business and I must say it was worth staying, check-in was a little bumpy. I loved my room, as my housekeeper ABABACAR kept it in great shape all week while I stayed. the service wasn't the quickest but the great ambience made up for it. The food was great and so was the beautiful very well kept beach. Great thanks to MARGARET(reception) as well for helping me get around town. and ooo I looooved the tight security.
