"Great stay at The Arctic Club, but valet parking only and it's expensive"
Comfy and clean rooms and great service at The Arctic Club. Had B, L, D at their Juno restaurant, good food and service. Only drawback was no parking, valet service only. Was expensive, about $40 a day! Since we had other family members travel with us and they stayed at our with nearby relatives' home, so we had our family take our car and keep it, so they just picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel, so this way we could avoid the high valet parking fees. We used the valet parking on only the last day we stayed at the hotel and they were efficient and courteous.
Rather unique ambience. Like travelling back in time. The rooms are very comfortable and the service on the whole is great. The internet is stable and fast. The only weakness is the dated tv and lack of HD channels. If that's the only criticism, this hotel is doing very well. The location is ideal, it's directly opposite the metro.
"Wedding anniversary trip to Seattle"
We used to live in Seattle and we always wanted to stay in this hotel, so to celebrate our anniversary we decided to book it. The hotel is placed in an historical building in downtown. In general, the building conditions were ok as well as the room. Staff was not as friendly as in other hotels, and as HHonor gold member we were not offered room upgrade until requested. Room was located in the second floor (3rd ave view) and was pretty nice, however it was a bit noisy. Cleaning service was not as good as a 4 start hotel should be. Finally we had breakfast in the Juno restaurant. It was ok but overrated. Juno staff was very attentive and friendly. Summing up, I recommend this place and I guess I would be there in our next Seattle trip.
"Arctic Club DT - Not worth the price"
I chose the hotel because of the reviews and it looked like a historic and majestic place. it is NOT! the almost $400 a night is definitely overpriced. i would have had a much better stay at the new downtown Hampton Inn with breakfast included - and close to the main attractions. this is farther than it looks from the Needle and Pike place - the main attractions in downtown! Save your money and stay at another Hilton Property!
I was put in a room behind the elevator. It wasn't bad when I checked in, since there was not much elevator usage, but upon returning to the room at night the noise began and lasted until about midnight. Then early in the morning it began gain. It sounded like people moving furniture in the room above as if on wood floors. When I checked out in the morning the front desk clerk asked about the stay. When I explained she apologized and offered $2 off the breakfast and then a Starbucks gift card. I declined saying that would never make up for missing a nights sleep.
