"Great place to stay for business or pleasure"
I originally started staying at the Arctic Club for business since it was close to the office but now I stay here every time I come to Seattle. Using the Hilton Honors app makes it so easy to check in and select your room so you just walk in, they give you your room key a warm cookie and you're on your way. The gym they have is great, never crowded, and has just enough equipment for anyone's workout needs. The room service is amazing and the Polar Bar is the best when they have the fire going. If I've ever had a problem with my room they take care of it asap, no questions asked and are just really friendly. It has an old Seattle feel to the hotel with a lot of sepia toned photo art so it's got a lot of character which I like too. It's about a mile or so away from both stadiums and less than a mile walk to the market so I love the location as well.
"Great hotel - Don't park in public parking!!"
My husband and I recently visited Seattle for the first time. I found this hotel online mostly by accident. I grew up in the hotel world so I love things that are different from the standard 'chain' hotels. We loved the Arctic Club! It was fun, quirky, historic, and the staff was great, everything we would want in hotel. The only problem is parking - especially considering how expensive the rooms are to begin with. We parked in the public parking garage directly behind the hotel thinking it would be associated with the hotel. Once we checked in we were told that the hotel only offers valet parking (which is crazy expensive!!). We took almost everything out of our car and thought we'd be fine but someone smashed our windows in to steal my husband sneakers! It certainly isn't the hotels fault but please be aware. Even though valet is crazy expensive, it is worth paying for considering the mess we ended up with. Other than that issue, we had a great time. I hope we can come back one day to truly enjoy the atmosphere of the place.
This was probably the neatest and furnished hotel I have ever stayed at in my life a great staff clean rooms unbelievable Lobby. I recommend this hotel not only for business Travelers but individual weekend Travellers as well
"Good location / but definitely outdated"
We went to this hotel due to a wedding that was being hosted there. Obviously it was expensive because of it's downtown location. When you walk in you are immediately hit with this old musky smell which seems to go along with it's old 1920's theme music and environment. The rooms aren't too bad except for the glass bathroom door which can be awkward at times. For the price I might look to a more modern hotel unless you are into that sort of thing.
"Feels Like Home"
I have stayed at the Arctic Hotel for various occasions around 10 times over the past few years. The hotel is located in downtown, just a block from Columbia tower. The historic feel of the Arctic harkens back to Seattle's roots as the hub of the northwest's gateway to the frontier for trappers and miners. It's a very classy comfortable feel. If you want contemporary nouveau, this is not your place. I have always experienced friendly and attentive service in every way. The rooms not nicely sized and are well appointed. I love the French press coffee set-up. The linens are very nice and the bed comfortable. The bathrooms are very nice and up to date. The Arctic has a comfortable and authentic feel that is a cut above the sterility of most upper-end chain hotels.
