Located in the heart of fashionable Kensington, the Millennium Bailey’s hotel is close to many of London's most exclusive shopping districts and major attractions like Hyde Park, Kensington Palace and Gardens, the Royal Albert Hall, the Natural History Museum, and Olympia exhibition centre.
"Old world elegance, modern plumbing, excellent staff and location--what's not to like'"
Beautifully restored hotel, take a look at the spiral staircase, spacious room decorated in neutral colors, modern bathroom, shower/tub combo, quiet, and elegant. Warryn and the entire front desk staff were exceptional-helpful, pleasant, ready to serve ...wonderful Friendly staff at the bar You take your jet-lagged self off the Heathrow Express at the Gloucester Rd stop, eh, voila, there is the hotel. The area is top-notch, too. Walk to the Victoria/Albert and several restaurants. Note: London is always busy. Make dinner reservations. We were turned away at the local pub on a weekday night --full -up.
"Nice Hotel Great Location"
Bailey's is a quaint hotel with comfortable rooms in a great location. It's across the street from the Gloucester Road station that serves Piccadilly, Circle and District tube lines. You can tube from Heathrow to the hotel on the Piccadilly line. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They were a delight to see each morning and evening. There are a number of good breakfast restaurants within the same block and it is within walking distance of a couple of museums. You can walk to Hyde Park but it is a bit further. We've stayed in this area twice before but this was the first time at Bailey's. Would absolutely stay again.
Fantastic refurb, one of my favourote hotels in London at the moment, rooms very high standard. Hotel bar lively, all in all superb. Location right by the station, very easy access. Staff very good. Will be back
"Excellent location -- very clean -- super staff!"
Just returned from three nights in London. Stayed at Bailey's which could not be any more convenient! Located right across the street from the Gloucester tube stop and in the middle of MANY fun pubs and eating spots. Rooms are small, but adequate. Very clean and free water bottles supplied daily. Also, wifi was free, to the extent that matters. Rooms were quiet and well appointed (hair dryer, umbrella, towel warmer). Overall SUPER place. Would definitely recommend to others.
"A Lovely Boutique Hotel in a Superb Location."
Have just returned from London and a stay at Bailey's Gloucester Rd, South Kensington, london for six nights. A delightful boutique hotel in a brilliant location to almost everything you need in London. Tube and bus are right on your doorstep and on the direct route to Heathrow (30 minutes). A lovely place to stay. We had a de Luxe room on the quiet top floor, and while the room was newly redecorated and ample the bathroom was compact but funtional and well decorated. The staff from beginning to end were exceptional, smiling, eager to please and some of the nicest I have found at many other hotels worldwide. Special mention must go to two bar/restaurant staff, Olga & Andrei, and a special mention to the doorman, a lovely man with a wealth of information. Your decision to re-instate this facility was a good one, like the uniform and red bowler a nice touch! The bar and restaurant are busy and happening, with many of the clientele obviously locals. A good Italian restaurant. All in all I recommend this boutique property over other, larger and more impersonal hotels. The building itself is lovely. Never disappointed.
