Visited Blackpool on the 17/04/2017 with my family of 2 adults + 3 kids. Have stayed at the Big Blue before so this was our 3rd stay & have to say like every other stay this 1 was fantastic. The hotel itself is opposite the beach and all the local attractions are close by.The hotel is a 4* with all staff friendly and helpful. I would say the hotel has been running over 14 years now and the only criticism I would say would be it would be best if they were to redecorate just to maintain its 4* standard. Overall thanks to all the hotel staff who made our stay comfortable.
"Worth every penny"
Excellent hotel! Great room and friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant had a great atmosphere. Breakfast was one the the best I've had. The main course was let down by the sea bass being char-grilled as it left a stale and bitter flavour on the skin (obviously the grill had not been wiped to clean it). However the rest of the experience was so good it was still a 5 star experience. Thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a bit of luxury!
"Great staff rubbish room"
Paid £165 for deluxe double room unfortunately nothing deluxe about it.The room was quite big (maybe that was the deluxe part) but it was cold and the bed was the worst I've ever tried to sleep in (and we go to Greece every year).Thank God we only stayed one night. On the up side the staff were first class extremely friendly and efficient.
Stayed here for 2 night break with my son and would deffo stay again.lovely hotel 2 minutes from the train station and with its own entrance to pleasure beach.lovely room with large flatscreen tv cracking breakfeast and very friendly staff.you can even get your wristbands here for your visit to the pleasure beach.
"A great family trip"
Really comfortable clean warm family room, lots of hot water and great facilities such as children's sleeping area in bunk beds with PS3 and snakes and ladders board. Great staff - Tom the manager and Lauren on reception - really friendly and accommodating. The food in this hotel is not your normal Blackpool expected level - really great menu choices and we all had dinner, a bottle of wine and a cocktail from the a la carte menu on the first night and all the meals were fab. Breakfast has a great selection and check in and check out and easy peasy. Great that you get your wristbands for the pleasure beach from the hotel reception and that you can use the VIP entrance to the Pleasure beach as opposed to walking all the way round the front. Thanks for a great stay, you could not have done more to make our break more enjoyable, much appreciated.
